We are constantly looking for ways to improve we manage our risks. Risk Models play a pivotal role in this. These models rely on accurate data supplied by our Modelling Data Teams as part of ABN AMRO’s Finance and Risk Business Grid. We are looking for experienced, fast learning Non Retail Modelling Data Analysts who like to translate credit risk data requirements to reliable modelling data sets and are eager to contribute making our data collection processes future proof.

Your job

As a member of the Non Retail Modelling Consuming Dataset team, you supply Credit Risk Modelling with the data they need to compile risk models. On one hand your duties will consist of technical aspects such as SQL and Python programming, performing Data Quality analyses and integrating datasets. On the other hand you’ll be working on documentation and using your communicative skills for stakeholder alignment. You also play an active role in the frequent team meetings where knowledge-sharing and transparency on progress is key.

Working environment

ABN AMROs Finance and Risk Business Grid is a rapidly growing department of which quantitative professionals form a large part. As a department, we are focussing on improving the quality and compliancy of our deliverables. We are responsible for sourcing and integrating data in a regulatory compliant way in order to support data driven Risk analyses, reporting and models.

The Non Retail Consuming Data set team is part of the Value Delivery Consuming Dataset cluster which is primarily responsible for supplying data for developing, monitoring and calibrating risk models. You will be working in a team that largely consist of highly motivated colleagues with international backgrounds, working in an open and informal atmosphere. Given the importance the regulatory authorities ascribe to modelling and the data underpinning it, this is a challenging and impactful role.

Your profile

You are practical, have an analytical approach and good communication and presentation skills. You are a strong team player and you take responsibility for your work. In the dynamic environment in which you operate, you have the ability to get all stakeholders on board.

You also have the following qualifications and skills:
• a Master’s degree, preferably a beta study
• highly skilled in SQL and Python
• familiar with Azure DevOps, Boards and GIT repos.
• experience with Agile way of working
• the ability to detail and challenge data requirements
• experienced with Data Management and Data Governance principles
• knowledge of risk management in banking or financial institutions
• excellent verbal and written communications skills
• good stakeholder management skills
• knowledge of Risk regulations like BCBS239, Perdarr, Basel IV or IFRS
• you are eligible to work in the EU
