Within the Tech4FEC Tribe of Rabobank we are looking for a Scrum Master Sanction Detection.  You help our squads with the exciting task to protect our customers. Do you want to make the difference as a Scrum Master in the Area Sanction Detection? Our systems and models monitor and protect 24/7 our payments streams and channels. You will be the Scrum Master for two global high performing squads. Are you ready for this exciting challenge? Then please read further and apply! 

The area is growing and we want to digitize and innovate FEC to protect our society, customers, and bank. We help FEC Operations who are handling alerts and we develop features and applications for this as well. As a Scrum Master you will be working with two squads, communicating in English. 

We believe that Scrum Masters coach their squads and area and make an impact on the bigger organization.  Our Scrum Masters work together to develop the area as a whole. This includes solving organizational impediments, challenging priorities & focus and facilitating in area strategy, goals & KPI setting. 

Who are you

A strong understanding of the Scrum framework is essential. This includes knowledge of Scrum roles, events, artifacts, and the underlying agile principles. We do expect that a candidate also has the valid certifications to back this up (PSM I/II, or similar).

While not mandatory, having domain-specific knowledge can be extremely advantageous. It will help the Scrum Master better understand the context of the project and enables them to communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and the product owner.

Apart from scrum and domain knowledge, we expect a Scrum Master to also have a number of skills and traits we deem necessary to succeed within this role and project.

Multiple years of experience in these areas is a must. 

You and your talent

You are a pro-active team player with a strong yet flexible mentality to get things done. You demonstrate the ability to persuade and inspire others while also having an aptitude for attentive listening and building connections. Additionally, you can lead by example while maintaining an independent stance. You are enthusiastic, empathetic, open-minded and you bring energy. You support the squads by educating them and helping them continuously improve their  development process. You are self-aware; you know your unique qualities and how to use them as effectively as possible. 

Required knowledge and experience: 

  • Educated at University level/Bachelors or Master’s degree; 
  • You are an experienced certified (PSM1/PSM2) Scrum Master, with at least 3 years proven experience; 
  • You have experience in coaching and guiding high performance multicultural squads; 
  • You have experience effectively intervening in both individual and group settings to bring teams to a higher maturity level; 
  • You are familiar with common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and solid development practices; 
  • You have excellent communication and mentoring skills, and you focus on the scrum values of openness, honesty and respect; 
  • You master the English language. Speaking Dutch is an advantage. 

Key advantages to the role:

  • Experience with Azure DevOps; 
  • You have preferably worked for a financial institution or in a financial environment. 
  • Experience with innovation teams; 
  • Located in the Netherlands

  • Up to € 5.811,03 (scale 9) or 6.926,62 (scale 10) (based on work experience);

  • A monthly home working allowance of up to € 40-;
