Your job

For this assignment you’ll join the Operations Processing at our headquarters in Amsterdam. We offer you a dedicated working internship for 9 months.

Processing is the entry point to the day-to-day client business and the team knows & understands the entire transaction flow. Processing monitors this flow, solves errors and exceptions (whenever necessary), and maintains a robust & predictable process, to improve client service. The team is focussed on automation, digitalisation and process optimization, in a dynamic business environment. The team consists of around 30 employees.

There is a great diversity among our employees in terms of education, nationality and background. Because we work in an international environment and have many international colleagues, the official language is English. However, the most important thing is that you have a passion for your work and would like to learn and grow within our organisation every day.

Your activities will include:

• Supporting process improvement.
• Creating a plan of approach and conducting research & data analysis.
• Helping with the implementation of improvement initiatives.
• Supporting the team in day-to-day client business and offering the clients the best services possible.

Your working environment

ABN AMRO Clearing Bank (AACB) is a leading global player in clearing and clearing related services. We provide professional clients access to financial markets around the globe. We are driven by IT solutions and need to have a continuous eye for automation and innovation as the world around us is changing constantly. The goal of Clearing Operations is to make client’s business easy, reliable and secure. By working together we are responsible for processing approximately 15 million transactions on average per day.

Your profile

• You are a Bachelor / Master student (HBO or WO); Masters preferred
• Your study covers Data Analytics, Finance, Business Administration or any related studies
• You are interested in banking/finance/markets
• You can start in as soon as possible
• You are available full time for 9 months minimum, and have already finished your Bachelor or Master Thesis
• Preferable experience in technologies like Python, Tableau, SQL, etc

Please Note: You must be enrolled at a university for the entire duration of the internship.
