At a glance

Do you believe in the bank’s ambitions to improve the Credit Landscape and are you eager to play an active role in changing this environment by using your knowledge and experience? Within Financing Solutions we are looking for people like you who really like to leverage their skills and expertise to create and build a future proof design.

Your job

As a Business Developer your job is to safeguard the regulatory impact of the BAL change initiative and you get the freedom to build on new lending journeys within the department. Bank Assisted Lending (BAL) is responsible for a complete new digital end-to-end customer journey for the credit process. It is an important program within the strategic Future Credit Domain theme. In the role of Business Developer you work on making an impact for entrepreneurs and develop yourself professionally and personally.

You analyse the changes and seek understanding of how these changes relate to the policy framework, which have to be mapped to data, process, organisation and technology and have to be used for the implementation of regulatory management of the loan life cycles on the business workplace. Your assignment could be to conduct a Material Change Assessment and prepare the consecutive application package. Or, you could be setting up the framework for ensuring structural policy adherence in the future – including demonstration thereof. So it’s important to have affinity with the translation/mapping of bank office Risk Modelling requirements.

You will do this in close collaboration with colleagues working on Design & Features as well as Regulatory, Model Owner, Compliance and Business partners. To succeed, you alternate in-depth analysis with continuous liaison on the approach, in order to incrementally reach the desired level of detail and quality.

Working environment

Within the Corporate Credits Grid we strive to enable entrepreneurs to make a positive impact in society. This starts with simpler, faster (and thus digital) processes to improve the day-to-day experience of our clients and employees. ABN AMRO believes that it needs to re-imagine its lending services in order to stay relevant for entrepreneurs in a rapidly changing world.

You will be part of one of the streams within the Bank Assisted Lending Program. In this team you will work closely together with colleagues of the other streams and teams like Processes & Control, Risk Model Management but also with department in the 2nd and 3d Line of Control. Every Tuesday we have a Bank Assisted Lending office day and every month we wrap up the day with drinks to socialize. Any other working day you can decide to work from home or in the office.

Your profile

You are interested in topics such as Lending, Regulations, Change and Credit Risk. You understand business and regulatory dynamics across different departments within the bank. You enjoy combining analytical challenges with solid wrap-up and documentation of your results and conclusions. You are persevering in your questioning and able to steer discussions on-topic. You know how to manoeuvre between strict requirements and high-level plans. You take ownership of a challenge and are able to identify and execute the steps required to understand and present business processes from a regulatory point of view. That’s who you are.

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree;
- Knowledge of relevant banking processes and products (e.g. corporate lending);
- Experience in the area of Policies & Regulations and/or Credit Risk;
- Skilled in analysing and structuring complex plans, identifying risks and presenting your advice to stakeholders in a convincing and structured manner;
- Strong understanding of business transformation, digital, Agile software development and change delivery;
- Implementation experience for financial services projects. nCino system knowledge or multiple years of Salesforce delivery experience is a plus;
- Self-starter, curiosity for innovation.
