Your job
The Contracting Unit is responsible for any and all agreements entered into between AACB and its clients. This concerns our master clearing contracts, as well as for example credit agreements, security documents, additional service agreements and guarantees. First of all, you will be negotiating these agreements with our (prospective) clients and/or their lawyers. In doing so you will utilise your outstanding legal expertise and drafting skills while granted the opportunity to learn about clearing, trading and financial markets on an ongoing basis. Second, your pragmatic approach is very much valued when advising internally on the contents of legal documentation, as well as with a view to the contracting processes. In addition to handling clients’ and internal queries, the Contracting Unit oversees and advises on the contracting lifecycle, continuously working with other teams to improve and automate. Furthermore, you are expected to signal regulatory developments and initiate updates to the contracts or processes where required. In short, the Contracting Unit is the first point of contact for all matters relating to client agreements. In this role you are strongly encouraged to share your knowledge and connect with sparring partners across the various departments.
Work environment
You will be located at the AACB headquarters in Amsterdam as part of a small team within AACB’s Corporate Office. Moving with the times, we are happy to find a balance between working from the office and working from home. Since you will be working together with colleagues and clients from around the globe, English is the primary language.

Salary indication Eur 65k - 90k all in (incl. benefit budget) based on a 40 hour work week (36 is also possible). Depending on the potential, knowledge and experience you bring to the table, a salary scale will be set.
Your profile
We are looking for a legal professional with thorough knowledge of the law and legal practices, while also interested in financial markets. Our ideal candidate combines strong communicative and analytical skills with a pragmatic attitude. In short, the position requires the following:
- Master’s degree in Dutch private law , 5-10 years of relevant working experience
- Specialisation in financial law, contract law and/or securities law is preferred
- Fluent in English and Dutch
- Excellent communicative skills, verbally as well as in writing
- A good eye for detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
