Associate Project and Infrastructure Finance (m/f/d)

Are you a structured finance professional with a minimum of 3-4 years of client facing or risk management experience and are you eager to work closely together with a team, ensuring that new deals are onboarded and that the portfolio is sound and growing in a sustainable way? As our new Junior Originator within Project and Infrastructure Finance you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong, sustainable, long-term relationships with clients and prospects by offering complex tailor-made financing solutions.

Within Project and Infrastructure Finance we arrange structured debt financing for long-term projects and infrastructure type financing. Our team has a strong focus on supporting the energy transition and digitalization of society. We finance renewable energy projects (such as offshore and onshore wind, solar, energy from waste, energy storage) and digital infrastructure projects (such as datacentres and fibre networks). Our Project and Infrastructure Finance team has further built an extensive track record in logistic infrastructure. We operate across Europe out of our offices in Amsterdam, Frankfurt and London. The Project and Infrastructure Finance team is also responsible for the portfolio management of our transactions.

Your job

• Lead project execution on a club deal as well as underwriting basis in close cooperation with risk, syndicate, Amsterdam sister teams and corporate coverage in order to provide a complete financing structure towards the client
• Develop credit structures, cash flow models and corresponding sensitivity models, as well as assessing potential risks & mitigants to obtain all bank approvals for the overall credit structure and transaction
• Negotiate credit documentation independently
• Prepare marketing materials and client presentations
• Recruit and educate junior resources such as interns, analysts and associates
• Benefit from own established network to generate lead transactions

Your profile

Our ideal candidate has former client facing and/or risk management experience and is able to offer complex tailor-made financing solutions by using specialized sector and structuring expertise.
She or he doesn’t get stuck with one area of responsibility over another and is able to adapt to changes and use them to her/his advantage.

• Educated at university level.
• Minimum 3-4 years of relevant financial experience of which minimum 2 years related to structuring, execution and portfolio management of project finance and/or other structured financing transactions
• Applied knowledge of the credit products and skills
• Knowledge of and affinity with renewable energy and/or digital infrastructure
• Extensive knowledge of international credit process (incl. credit application/processing/ monitoring)
• Excellent in speaking, writing and reading of English and German
