The Head of Product & Solutions is covering the entire set of products in Belgium, combining Wealth Products (Investments), Financing solutions (Lending) and Transaction Banking (Daily Banking) for all segments present.

The Head of Product & Solutions is expected to pro-actively contribute to the development of the current and future value drivers of the bank and, with respect to the future of ABN AMRO in Belgium, think in a broader perspective. This means managing not only from an ex-post perspective, but also from an ex-ante perspective.
Furthermore, the Head of Product & Solutions will be responsible for setting up, evaluating and coordinating changes and improvements of ABNAMRO in Belgium and its client offers.

• Managing the entire suite of WM products and services, ensuring adherence with global and local rules and regulations and the bank’s business code of conduct.
• Development, roll out and maintenance of the One PB Product Offering (Menu card)
• Formulating a P&S strategy that prioritises initiatives based on cross-country client needs, market trends, and commercial value.
• Managing, developing and expanding the P&S activities of private banking in close cooperation with CCO PB, CCO CB and internal ABN AMRO stakeholders (e.g., RB, Markets)
• Keeping Private Bankers & Investment Advisors updated on product knowledge : Ensuring that RM's and Advisors are kept updated on products and services to expand conversations with their clients (proactive influencing versus reactive approach).
• Suggests original and result-based solutions for current and future problems and encourages others to develop new ideas and solutions. Actively contributing to the sustainability agenda
• Organisational and Cost Efficiency: contribute to realisation of business and operational synergies with a view to adhere to budget and improve the cost / income ratios continuously. Ensure gradual and consistent alignment of products and service levels with client profitability.
• People Management: Provide leadership to P&S staff to guarantee well motivated, committed and trained staff that operates according to the values of the Bank.
• Product approval committees, managing the duty of care towards clients regarding our product suite together with the second and third line.
• Management Team in Belgium: Actively participate in developing and executing the strategy for the Belgium organisation
• Contributes constructively to the global Product Units (Wealth Products and Financing Solutions) : Sharing of best practices and input from a local perspective. Actively participates in the Management team meetings by generating ideas and working on relevant programs.

Profile

Furthermore, you are able to manage the relationship with regulators in a constructive manner.
You have the personality and the credibility to represent the bank in an effective and innovative manner towards its internal and external stakeholders, regulators, (institutional) investors, the press and market analysts.

You should have broad experience preferably in an international financial institution, as well as broad experience in leading a large financial function. Furthermore, you should have experience with strategic planning and execution thereof and should have knowledge of negotiations and change management. You preferably have experience working for a bank. You have (to a certain extent) experience with IT-projects in relation to the financial and risk data environment. Finally, you should have experience with investor communities.
You have an undisputable reputation of integrity, approachability and will always put the interests of the bank ahead of your own.

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in product strategy, product management and/or product development roles (from Lending or Investment perspective).
• Deep expertise in developing new products for a broad investment management platform with a diversified portfolio across all asset classes.
• Proven track record of leading, motivating and developing high performing teams.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships; and work collaboratively to achieve team objectives.
• Comprehensive understanding of global lending, investment vehicles and distribution channels. Strategic thinker who demonstrates superior understanding of economies and investment theories.
• Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills.
• Ability and willingness to roll up sleeves and execute to get the job done. Attention to detail a must. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and complete projects on a timely basis.
