What is the best way to make an impact in a digital service organization such as Rabobank with over 8000 developers worldwide? In this role, you will enable a team of designers to design a world class experience for the tooling necessary to deliver secure and compliant software in the organisation. Our ambition is to provide an excellent engineering journey with an IT delivery ecosystem that is actionable, personalized and pro-active and allows everyone involved in software development at Rabobank to focus on delivering business value.

As lead designer your main responsibility will be to drive the design vision of this IT delivery eco-system, together with the business stakeholders. You are the main point of contact for anything related to the design for stakeholders such as senior architects, tech leads and business owners. You are able to communicate to them your vision on a conceptual level and relate this to the strategic objectives of the business.

You will be directing your design team to visualize and transform your vision into a consistent and intuitive experience for specific user groups. You’ll be a mentor to the individual designers in your team and able to create a cohesive team. It will be your responsibility to manage the backlog of the team and setting the priorities for the team.

Collaboration is the way we work within our passionate and results-oriented design team and as part of the Rabobank Chapter Design of about 100 designers with a wide range of skills and backgrounds. In your role as design lead you will report to the chapter lead ‘enterprise experience design’ and need to ensure the connection with the other teams in the chapter as well as the visibility of your team.

• You have 15+ years of experience as a designer and design lead and have done so in a large corporate context;
• You have proven to be a discussion partner on a senior level for stakeholders in the context of a vast IT landscape;
• You are a strategic and analytical thinker and have a track record in translating complex problems into simple and intuitive solutions;
• You worked with complex journeys frameworks, preferably in a B2B context;
• You are able to maintain a user-centered mindset and deliver a world-class design in a very technology-driven environment;
• You have excellent communication skills in English.
