An exciting role where you support the alignment and performance of First Line Monitoring (FLM) across the different business lines of Wholesale and Rural (W&R) in the execution of their FEC processes specifically in the area of Sanctions. W&R FLM is part of the FEC Quality Monitoring team within the W&R FEC Center. Key objective of the W&R FEC Center is to support the W&R regions and business lines to ensure full compliance with all applicable FEC standards, full standardisation and continuous enhancement of the FEC processes in line with regulatory developments. As Quality Monitoring Consultant within W&R FLM Team you will play a key role within the team whose goal is to facilitate the global FLM Operating Model and develop and maintain all elements necessary to monitor and improve the quality of the Bank’s adherence to the FEC requirements.

Making a difference 

  • Support the execution of the Global FLM operating model across W&R;
  • Establish and implement a uniformed way of working across W&R FLM teams, specifically in regards to the current Sanctions and Screening processes.
  • Foster the creation of a Global FLM community and actively drive this towards an integrated collaborative forum which contributes to the improvement of FLM across W&R;
  • Align FLM community members on process and quality level;
  • Monitor and analyse any deviations in testing, scoring and interpreting requirements;
  • Gather and deliver input for training, procedures and tooling in order to further improve the quality;
  • Shares insights and overview of changes in regulatory landscape and impact to FLM activities;
  • Ownership of FLM manuals, W&R FLM tooling and test scripts (including scoring methodology);
  • Alignment on quality monitoring by sharing cases and experiences.

Your role is to further build a network of connections across W&R regions and business lines to ensure full compliance with all applicable FEC processes in line with regulatory requirements.

Playing a crucial supporting role within the W&R FLM community you will help to build connections and relationships while also ensuring that the FLM processes are executed efficiently.

In addition, it's important that you recognise everything in the checklist below:

  • Profound knowledge and understanding of the principles of risk & control framework;
  • Solid understanding of FEC principles and relevant laws (AML/CTF/Sanctions) specifically on the requirements around Sanctions and Screening i.e. Name screening, Pre-trade screening and Transaction filtering. In addition, having principle knowledge and experience in Client Due Diligence (CDD) and Transaction Monitoring (TM).
  • Ability to extract quality requirements from Sanctions, Screening, CDD and TM Policy documents and apply them to control monitoring and applicable processes;
  • Strong project management skills coupled with problem solving mentality and the ability to work independently and in a team;
  • Ability to engage effectively with all levels, including senior management;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
  • Experience in an international (wholesale and rural) environment is preferred.
