Junior Business Manager – Rabo Partnerships
Imagine creating impact and return in emerging markets through sharing knowledge, investing in long-term partnerships and working on innovative business propositions with strategic partners and increasingly with Wholesale & Rural Clients. As a Junior Business Manager, you are an energetic, proactive self-starter who likes to work on various projects to support our Advisory Services and Inclusive Venture Building, Investments, Blended Finance and Smallholder Ecosystems activities in emerging markets in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
You and your job
As Junior Business Manager you know the secrets of communication, project management, reporting and data. You will collaborate with team members on a number of projects and tasks. For example you will be active in communication and community building of Rabo Partnerships and will help us to increase our visibility in the organization and also externally. Together with another team member you will create communication products, such as newsletters, the impact report and therefore an affinity for writing and editing articles will be a part of your responsibility. Another project relates to data and impact management, where you will help to play an active role in impact measurement and reporting. Inspirational practical examples
- Assist the (senior) Business Manager of Rabo Partnerships on various topics and co-operate with the four business teams within Rabo Partnerships: Advisory Services and Inclusive Venture Building, Investments, Blended Finance and Smallholder Ecosystems.
- Lead and participate in various projects, such as communications, impact management, our Partnerships’ Future Leadership programme, team engagement.
- Support in the internal and external communication and visibility of our impact in emerging markets.
- Monitor milestones and KPIs, guide colleagues on realizing agreed objectives, flag risks and opportunities and advise management on additional actions needed.
- Support in monitoring and reporting on the annual plan and other activities to the management of RP and other teams.
- Point of coordination for various cross-team programs and improvement plans.

You will get a lot of freedom to do your projects and you will be the linking pin in a various projects. Success in the role will heavily depend on your communication and co-operation skills, the quality you deliver and how proactive you are in picking things up and getting things done.

With you as a Junior Business Manager, the team will consist of 30+ diverse colleagues in a variety of roles. You form part of the Business Support Team, with four enthusiastic colleagues focusing on general support, communications and process management, and you report directly to the senior Business Manager.

You and your talent
Customer focus, judgement and decision making, collaborating and project management are clearly essential for the role of Junior Business Manager. In addition, it's important that you recognize everything in the checklist below:
- Strong academic background (academic degree) with proven conceptual and strategic capabilities;
- At least 2 years of experience in banking, preferably in different areas;
- Good knowledge of MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel) required;
- Affinity with writing, editing and the creation of communication products, is a plus;
- Affinity with data is required, knowledge of PowerBI/PowerAutomate is an advantage;
- Affinity (and preferably experience) in fields of marketing and communications is required;
- Knowledge of Rabobank (context, organisational structure, systems, regulatory framework);
- Affinity with and willingness to develop knowledge on the markets in which Rabo Partnerships operates;
- Excellent oral and writing skills in Dutch and English; Spanish or French is an advantage;
- Proven ability to work independently and as a team player, perform activities pro-actively and initiate proper actions on urgent matters;
- Creative, love for chaos, deadlines, multitasking and (predominantly) internal stakeholder management;
- Forward looking, agile, persistent, delegating, empowering, reliable, connecting, motivating.
This is what we offer you
- Up to € 4889.68 (schale 8) gross per month;
- a thirteenth month and holiday pay;
- an Employee Benefit Budget (9% of your monthly salary). You decide how to spend this budget. This may include purchasing extra leave days, making extra pension contributions or even receiving a monthly cash payout.
