We are looking for a Java Developer that wants to work with a team that is building a cloud solution for Invoicing & Collecting services.

You and your job 

Working as a medior Java developer, you have an important part to play in improving the online sales journeys and customer experience for our customers. Being part of a team working in the area Digital Journey Services (DJS) within Digital Customer Processes (DCP), you are building sales services which are embedded in online sales journeys. We make these journeys more seamless and efficient for our customers and the bank. 

The position is for squad The Collectors. The Collectors is building a cloud solution for Invoicing & Collecting services: Claim administration, Orchestration of Payment method, Credit management, Matching of claims and Allocation of revenue.  

Together we achieve more than alone
As a DevOps squad we don’t have a fixed set of responsibilities. Together we take responsibility for the full DevOps lifecycle. The operation, monitoring, logging, and alerting. We follow the principle, you build it, you run it! In addition, you're building to be t-shaped within the squad. We're looking for a candidate who has got the technical experience related to our tech stack and who can bring our software development to the next level. 

Our tech stack 

We use up-to-date technologies to make our work easier: Java 11-17 and Spring to develop our services and Maven to build them. We store our data in Mongodb/Oracledb/Sqlserver. Then we deploy everything with the help of Cloud Foundry and Azure Portal. Splunk is used for monitoring our prod running applications. To manage teamwork, we use Confluence for docs and Azure Devops for everything else. For frontend related tasks (sometimes we need a small UI app for internal employees) we use Typescript and Angular.

You and your talent 

  • 3+ years or more working experience as a Java developer in a complex IT landscape 
  • Experience in or affinity with software development in the financial sector is a bonus 
  • You are fluent in English 
  • You take ownership from design to production and operations (DevOps mindset) 
  • You have great analytical and problem solving skills 
  • You have very good communication and cooperation skills 
  • You have an agile mindset and experience in working agile/scrum 

This is what we offer you

  • a gross monthly salary up to € 5.000,00 (scale 8), based on 40 hours per week.  
  • Thirteenth (13th) month's salary and (8%) holiday allowance; 
  • An Employee Benefit Budget of (10%) of your gross monthly salary to be used at your discretion. Buy extra holiday hours, add more to your pension savings or receive a monthly cash pay-out. 
  • A personal budget of €1.400 that you can spend on activities related to your personal development and career. 
  • Flexibility when it comes to location-independent working (Tuesday is the area-day for DJS at Croeselaan, other days at the office are aligned with your team), including a working from home allowance and the option to order office furniture for your home. 
  • 100% reimbursement of commuting costs if you travel by public transport! Do you still prefer to travel by car or motorbike? Then choose a commuting allowance.
