Associate Private Equity

Investing in SME with a focus on Food & Agri, Healthcare and Sustainability, supporting their growth through clear equity stories and creating impact (including ESG journeys). You are actively involved in the investment process and portfolio management of high growth companies. You will join a flat, diverse and high energy team with the ambition to grow invested capital from EUR 250m to EUR 615m in the next couple of years.

You and your job
You and the team follow Rabobank’s strategy, which is focussed on three pillars: 1) Banking for Food, 2) Banking for the Netherlands , and 3) Banking for Energy. As an Associate, you will assist in originating and executing new equity investments that are visible and essential for the Rabobank Group. Thereafter, in the portfolio phase, you will closely co-operate with management teams and our operating partners working on value creation plans for these new investments and work towards exit .

Responsibilities

• Contribute in every part of the investment process including deal structuring, due diligence and documentation;
• Writing quick scans and investment proposals to be put forward to the Investment Committee;
• Co-ordinate the internal approval cycle for new investments or portfolio add-ons;
• Co-operate and build relationships with management of our portfolio companies and work on value creation including add-ons;
• Conducting strategic/market studies, sector deep dives and target identification
• Maintain relationships with key Rabobank internal stakeholders and external M&A boutiques

You and your talent

• Master's degree or working/thinking level;
• At least 3 years of experience in Private Equity and strategy consulting or M&A;
• Self-starting and strong project management skills meeting deadlines;
• Strong modelling, structuring and financial analysis skills;
• Proven examples of going the extra mile;
• Fluent in Dutch language.
