The In Control and Regions team is responsible for the transition to a mature environment that is In Control of all internal and external regulations globally. Key tasks/responsibilities involved are: full implementation and maintenance of our Risk Control Framework (RCF) across the regions, covering both regulatory as well as non- regulatory risks and controls, optimizing Management Information around that RCF, and ensuring full transparency to management including proper information flows between Markets, ICM meeting, RMC committees etc. The team is also responsible for properly embedding new regulations in the Control environment. Next to that the team will also support Markets daily operations in the regions.

You and your job

As Senior Advisor Markets In Control you make a contribution by performing a key role in managing projects and improving processes, maintaining the Markets business strategy of being in control. This includes the relationship with the Risk & Control Framework of Markets. With your knowledge you’ll make sure to oversee the business impact and, in the meantime, implement regulatory requirements. It’s your responsibility to coordinate and monitor progress.

    • Markets value chain departments as Operations, Product Control and Tribes, as well as with oversight functions risk management, compliance, and audit
  • 36/40 hours per week

An average working day

Are you curious about what would be on your to-do list on an average working day? You will have several projects running at the same time in which you will decide, sometimes together with the team, what has priority, and are responsible to achieve the deliverables timely. You and your talent

  • Professional experience (preferably with a proven track record for these elements) and/or good understanding of:
  • (Markets) Front Office businesses, processes and products and the Markets’ value chain, such as Operations, Product Control and Tribes, as well as with oversight functions risk management, compliance, and audit
  • Markets relevant regulations, such as MiFIDII, EMIR, Volcker and DFA SD.
  • Risk management activities / the Risk and Control Framework
  • Aware of industry developments and the impact on our Markets business
  • Have a challenging nature and challenge yourself and others to pursue initiatives and take responsible risks with the objective of improving results
  • Experienced in stakeholder management, feel comfortable working with different Markets businesses and multiple oversight departments around the business
  • Take accountability and have a hands-on mindset
  • Work in an organized and structured manner, delivering to agreed parameters
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Are a fast learner with an ability to master new topics easily
  • Are a self-starter and flexible with work tasks and good in time management
  • Advanced command of English, both verbally and in writing

This role will require you to have a flexible attitude as business requirements and priorities change. Moreover, you may be required from time to time to perform relevant duties outside the scope of this job description.

You will be expected to maintain the highest level of integrity and discretion, especially when working on issues of a sensitive nature.

This is what we offer you

  • up to € 6.481 gross per month (scale 9 /10, based on 36 hours)
  • a thirteenth month and holiday pay.
  • an Employee Benefit Budget (11% of your monthly salary). You decide how to spend this budget. This may include purchasing extra leave days, making extra pension contributions, or even receiving a monthly cash pay-out.
