During the Young Professional Program IT (also known as YPPIT) at Rabobank you work on your career one day a week by following technical training, or you work on your personal development. You develop talents you didn’t know you had and we are given the space to discover for yourself what you are good at and what you like. And then? Everything you learn in the training courses can immediately be put into practice, because the other 4 days you work in your starter position as a Junior Data Analyst. Under the guidance of experienced colleagues , you will become a specialist in your field in no time. In addition, in the program you will work together with the team on 2 business challenges on themes such as the cooperative energy transition.
As a Junior Data Analyst you’ll work within Strategy & Innovation as part of the Business Clients domain. Within this department, the data management team is hugely influential for progressing towards a data-driven way of innovation. The team firmly believes that data is a key asset in today’s financial world. It is our team’s mission to support decision-making by data to ultimately help more customers. Within our team we have the objective to better understand data; where it comes from, how it is used and what the quality is. We work together with product management, credit risk, and other teams to continuously unlock new data sources, and improve and optimize our data landscape. In this way, our wider team is able to access and use analytics in all aspects of their work.
As a Junior Data Analyst we expect you to be the linking pin between data engineers, IT, and business teams that are using data to drive their strategy. Together with your more experienced colleagues, your first responsibility is to understand the business need for data and translating these needs into actionable data requirements.

Translate business needs into data requirements based on interactions with business stakeholders
Data modeling of the data infrastructure and designing data flows (ETL)
Building & maintaining dashboards in Power BI to present insights from the data

You and your talent
a bachelor or master degree, or an equivalent working / thinking level
affinity with software development, and already some experience with the programming language Python
basic experience with/understanding of data analysis, data flows (ETL) & data modeling techniques
basic understanding of business topics in the financial services industry
basic experience with dashboarding in Power BI
excellent proficiency in English
a can-do mentality; a keen problem solver with an eagerness to innovate
excellent communication skills; we have multiple cultures and business disciplines on board

This is a selection of the terms of employment for a Junior Data Analyst based on a 40-hour working week.
