Scrum Master
You and your job
Being responsible for facilitating, inspiring, and guiding two Squads to realize their goals.
As Scrum Master you are responsible for the promotion, roll out and assurance of the Scrum/Agile principles in the team. Together with the PO, you protect the Squads against unwanted interference from outside and ensure that the sprints are successfully completed. Also, you are responsible for the agile rhythm of the Squad and you helping the PO with effective Product Backlog Management.
Making a difference
As a Scrum Master you are dedicated to three squads. You work closely with these squads, as well as with other Scrum Masters in the tribe Insurance & Pension to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization. You understand product planning in an empirical environment and you understand and practice agility.
You and your responsibilities
- You coach the ‘AieP Core Squads’ in self-organization and cross-functionality and bring them to the next level(s) of maturity.
- You support the Tech-lead in realizing the IT-chapter ambitions & tech prios;
- You teach your teams to measure their performance and business impact and improve their work by self-management (continue developing quality, effectiveness, and job satisfaction);
- You help individual team members in their personal development and maturity;
- You understand cultural differences and know how to bridge them;
- You can optimize and guide integration of the usage of Azure to manage work, dependencies, and impediments;
- You act as an impediment remover to solve blocking issues and take into account the self-organizing and cross-functional capabilities.
- You strive with your team for predictability and reliability;
- You’re in the lead on behalf of the IT-lead for improving Agility and Quality within the squads;
- You Support events on the Area level and contribute to the Scrum Master community;
- You Contribute to hands-on software development.
- You Secure/ensure the quality and acceptance of team deliverables.
- You bring in more than just that knowledge and experience you move people to think differently.
Your team and work environment
You will be part of the AieP Core Squad. These squads are part of the private lines area within the Tribe Insurance & Pension. As a tribe, we have the goal to become the best, most innovative, and data-driven insurance and pension intermediary in the Netherlands, with a focus on high customer and employee satisfaction. Within the area Private Lines we strive to become the best and most innovative insurance and pension intermediary for our customers.
Job requirements
- Strong Scrum and Agile experience incl. certifications (PSM II)
- At least 3-5 years of experience as a Scrum Master.
- Knowledge and experience with large-scale Scrum (LeSS) or the scaled agile framework (SAFE).
- Experience with Azure DevOps.
- Technical Affinity/knowledge and experience is a must.
- Proactive, hands-on mentality and flexible mindset.
- Experience in (practical) Project Management principles/frameworks (Prince2, Ipma etc.)
- Fluent in English and Dutch, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A self-starting and inventive attitude.

This is what we offer you
- A base salary of up to € 6.926,62 per month based on your experience (scale 10)
- Thirteenth month's salary and 8% holiday allowance
- An extra budget of 11% of your gross monthly salary to be used at your discretion. Buy extra holiday hours, add more to your pension savings, or ask for part of the extra budget to be paid out.
- The possibility to order working from home facilities (desk, chair, and screen) and a monthly home working allowance of up to € 40-
- A personal development budget of € 1,400-
- 100% reimbursement of commuting costs if you travel by public transport
- A pension scheme to which you contribute 3.5% or 5,5%
- 172,8 hours holiday per year incl. 1 Diversity Day per year
