(Financial) Business Manager Risk & Finance Tech

As a business manager you will join the Tech domain Risk & Finance which is one of four tech divisions within Rabobank Innovation & Technology Office (CITO). Risk & Finance Tech develops and maintains all central risk management and finance systems. 

You and your job

As a business manager you create status and progress reports for various stakeholders, including Senior Management. Within our division you will work for one (or more) Risk & Finance Tech domains. You are an experienced Domain Supporter/ Business Manager with affinity for numbers (budget/actuals) and can easily switch between thinking and doing, you keep an overview and look ahead. With your (project) management talent, communicative skills and organizational sensitivity you get the best out of yourself and in collaborations with others.

Practical Examples 

• You work on deliverables such as reports, analyses and presentations, including the monthly financial closing process (corrections and accruals).
• You manage the budget process together with the Tech Domain Manager, business stakeholders and Control and you create monthly forecasts and keep track of actuals.
• You respond to ad-hoc requests of Management.
• You are able to act independently in stressful, complex and sensitive situations and have good prioritisation skills.
• You help realizing the strategic agenda of Risk & Finance Tech
• You pro-actively signal improvements and take ownership
• You align with various stakeholders, from team members to senior staff / management.
• You provide a clear view on complex situations
• And you are not afraid to challenge colleagues and senior management

Top 3 responsibilities

• You create the monthly financial progress report for the Tech Domain Lead and dare to pro-actively discuss challenges and opportunities around this monthly reporting with senior management and control.
• Take the lead in domain specific and/or cross-Tech department projects and create clear and compelling storylines and presentations tailored to our colleagues and stakeholders’ needs.
• You organize and facilitate projects and meetings based upon the need of the Management Team(s).

Together we achieve more than alone
As Business Manager you will work directly with the Tech Domain Managers and the financial support team within Risk & Finance Tech. You will join the Tech Support Team, the team responsible for supporting and advising the management team of R&F Tech. 

R&F Tech is responsible for more than 150 Risk and Finance applications running on a wide variety of technical platforms, both on premise as well as in the cloud, which are being serviced by over 1000 IT professionals. We have teams working from the Netherlands as well as offshore and nearshore locations such as India, Portugal and Spain.

You and your talent

• Bachelor or (preferably) Master degree with > 3 years’ experience in business management, consulting or business development, ;
• Affinity with IT;
• Have excellent communication and organizational skills;
• Comfortable discussing with and/or presenting to senior management;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (mandatory) and Dutch (preferable);
• You have good analytical skills, can comprehend complex information, can make a distinction between main- and side issues and are able to create valuable insights for senior management.
• Above all; you have a positive presence, love to work with and for people and have a passion to drive change & execution.

This is what we offer you

• Up to € 85.000,- gross per year, based on your experience (scale 9 or 10)
• Thirteenth month's salary and 8% holiday allowance
• An extra budget of 11% of your gross salary to be used at your discretion. Buy extra holiday hours, add more to your pension savings or ask for part of the extra budget to be paid out.
• A budget of € 750- to set up your home working space and a monthly home working allowance of up to € 40-
• A personal development budget of € 1,400-
• A combination of working from home and at the office
• 100% reimbursement of commuting costs if you travel by public transport
• A pension scheme to which you contribute 3.5%
• 172,8 hours of holiday per year incl. 1 Diversity Day per year
