Rabobank is looking for a Senior Tech Lead, with proven experience in leading in complex environments, who is primarily responsible for leading teams working on Markets & Treasury Murex Foundation Services. This role can be filled in by a candidate in NL (Utrecht) or UK (London).

Role

The Senior Tech Lead M&T Murex Foundation Services is ultimately responsible for the following:

• The IT delivery strategy and execution of the M&T Murex Foundation Services areas;

• Managing the Tech Leads in the domain;

• Stakeholder management with the relevant Strategic partners (vendors);

• Ensuring stability and security for a large mission-critical application at the centre of the W&R banking business;

• Form and execute with the MT WRT a strong IT vision on further developing the division WRT;

• Ideally taking the role of Domain Tech Lead in the Tribe triangle for Tribe Markets & Treasury;

• Complex stakeholder management; being able to act in politically sensitive environments, with different stakeholders at different levels;

• Fundament for the High Performing Engineering Culture, including capability building for chapter members by continuous upskilling and reskilling of the IT staff and creating a culture of excellence and continuous learning;

• Leading the transition to empowered and high performance teams;

• Create fast, efficient and in control, top of the bill future tech stack for WRT; leading in technology in the run, change and innovation;

• Leading the execution of lifecycle management and technology renewal;

• Leading standardization;

• Building a strong WRT management team, together with the other Senior Tech Leads, with focus on leadership development, leading by example, culture and IT;

• Further maturing the S@S way of working in the Markets & Treasury Tribe and the mentioned areas;

• Risk management: demonstrable In control;

• Adhere to standards & policies, e.g. security policies or Life Cycle Management standards;

• Focus on quality and build internal knowledge to attract and retain the best employees;

• Building a talent pipeline and skill pools for skill and craftsmanship development;

• Communication and influencing skills at the highest level aimed at challenging, influencing, developing and motivating employees and changing behaviour;

• Influencing skills in a broad stakeholder area, like CITO Tech domains, WRT regions.

Since the Sr Tech Lead M&T Murex Foundation Services has a bank-wide function, you are expected to do a lot of stakeholder management. It is important to continuously interact with your environment to ensure that the right service is provided. Together with the area lead and the business architect, you ensure prioritization, roadmaps delivery. and the optimal contribution to Rabobank's goals. You are the main IT delivery expert within the area triangle. You are also a member of the MT W&R Tech, in which you help shape and further develop the W&R Tech strategy.

Know-How

• Seasoned professional experienced (10 years+) in IT competency area, in building, running & changing different IT system areas

• Knowledge of the latest customer/market developments, and high tech developments

• Knowledge of / experience with data, services, back-end architecture and cloud; offshore and nearshore development

• Operates in the triangle of Business, Architecture and IT on Area level

• Influencing skills at the highest level, primarily concerned with managing a broad stakeholder management field, developing and motivating people and changing behaviour

Problem Solving

• Freedom to think within clearly defined standards & policies and objectives. The incumbent has a strategic impact by contributing to the IT roadmap for the tribe, and for shaping the strategic vision and roadmap of the area.

• Adaptive thinking challenge for which analytical and interpretative thinking is required.

• Operates within annual budgeting and compliance demands.

• Hierarchical manager of 240 FTE, of which 5 direct reports as manager and 235 as team member.

Besides the regular managerial responsibilities, responsible for:

  • The further roll-out of Murex as a Front to Back to Risk system for the Markets & Treasury Tribe
  • Guarding the integral IT approach and link to other IT projects within and outside the tribe
  • Leading in technology in run (including vendor management), change and innovation
  • Managing budgets and increasing the efficiency of software development and maintenance
  • Adhering to IT framework like security standards, life cycle management availability demands
  • Continuously improving the practices of the IT staff in the team
  • Hiring, developing and training the IT staff to continuously improve the productivity of the squad, with a focus on an engineering culture.

  • A yearly salary up to €212K gross per year based on 40 hours (in scale SKB), depending on your knowledge and experience, his includes all benefits;
