Would you like to join our young and driven team in our challenge to help protect the bank and our customers worldwide against criminals who are performing fraudulent activities? Rabobank is one of the top IT companies in the Netherland with over 8000 employees working in IT. As a Technical Business Analyst within the area of External Fraud Detection you work in a squad who works on applications that detect, alert and handle cases of fraud in order to prevent our customers to be victim of (potential) fraudsters.

Making a difference

  • As a Platform Engineer you can make a difference by facilitate us we monitor the correct information and focus on the right data and behavioural patterns to stop these criminals.
  • As a Platform Engineer you will be holding both business analysts responsibilities as well as coding.

The Fraud teams are working on detection, alert handling and case management. These are challenging themes because of the dynamic environment and fast changing world. Our detection services are being rolled out within all international branches of the Rabobank to make sure we as Rabobank stand united.

Our ambition is to create a solid foundation with State of the art architecture and smart data models to support our daily business in fighting fraud. Our teams are highly motivated and driven to help the bank and our customers.

Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. Our DevOps teams bring talented people together to execute all change and run activities of the relevant application. You will be T-shaped along the way to help delivering value to the product.

As a Platform Engineer you:

  • You are technically and analytical strong;
  • You will be working with complex data sets from different systems across the bank that will need to be ingested into a real-time detection system;
  • You are, together with your squad, responsible for creating, continuously improving and managing applications day to day;
  • Align with different stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions;
  • You configure (low-code) the gathered requirements in the RiskShield application(s);
  • You’ll be a team player and need to be flexible, curious, investigative and you’re not afraid to take ownership;
  • Work in a squad and together you aim for the best possible result;
  • Help your squad improve in the DevOps way of working, taking ownership to share your knowledge;
  • Support the product owner in the business development;
  • Discuss new solutions along with the solution architect;

What profile are we looking for:

We are looking for a Platform Engineer, who:

  • Has an advanced degree (Bachelor or Master) in IT with business sciences subjects or a Business degree with computer sciences subjects
  • Has preferably a programming (C/Python or low-code platforms) background
  • 3+ years or more working experience as a Developer or (Technical) Business Analyst;
  • Knowledge of and experience of Business Analysis methods and best practices
  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Azure Pipelines and Databricks
  • Has some experience with RedHat Linux environments (pré) 
  • Has a business mindset to think in outcome/value
  • Has clear communication in English (written & verbal)
  • Has experience within a financial institute or the finance department preferably in an enterprise environment (complex system/banking)
  • Has some basic testing skills (pré)
  • Has experience with RiskShield (pré)

You must be living and working in the Netherlands!

This is what we offer you

  • up to € 6130,- salary per month (scale 9), 36 hour working week
  • A thirteenth month and 8% holiday pay.
  • An Employee Benefit Budget (10% of your monthly income). You decide how to spend this budget. This may include purchasing extra leave days, making extra pension contributions or even receiving a monthly cash payout.
  • 100 % reimbursement of the costs of home/work travel if you travel by public transport! Do you still prefer to travel by car or motorbike? Then choose a home/work travel allowance.
  • A pension scheme where you contribute only 3,5%
