As a Tech lead of Cloud PC in the Base Workplace and Applications department, you will coach, guide and support squads to deliver standardised, future proof solutions that will shape the future digital workplace services of Rabobank.

The Tech Lead Cloud PC will work in the management team of Base Workplace and Applications and will work with other Tech Leads to achieve the strategic priorities of the department:

  • Empower future fit squads to work as autonomous, high performing teams equipped with skills and knowledge required to meet future requirements.
  • Simplify and standardise our services by de-duplicating solutions and addressing special cases to reduce complexity.
  • Future proof the technology stack, driving modernisation and decommissioning legacy products and techniques.
  • Proactively embed security and compliance, ensuring that products are secure by design and that squads feel ownership of risk and security activities.
  • Positively impact society and sustainability, acting as a role model and inspiring those around you to help grow a better world together.

Base Workplace and Applications is a chapter within CITO responsible to build, deliver and support the devices and workplace applications required by global colleagues to work securely and efficiently. The 125 professionals in the department populate and facilitate DevOps squads in the ‘Work and Health’ tribe of CHRO, where squads work together to make Rabobank a ‘great place to be’ for all employees. 

As a Tech Lead, you will join the Base Workplace and Applications management team along with a Senior Tech Lead and other Tech Leads to ensure uniform working methods across the department and to promote knowledge exchange and learning among squads. You will also participate in the steering triangle of several squads where, together with a Product owner and Solution Architect, you will offer the leadership and direction that members of DevOps squads will need to achieve the area and department goals.

You have experience in the agile way of working, comprehend the risk & compliance requirements of a bank, and have a wide interest and view on IT trends. You are proactive and can take responsibility and have the inner drive to make a positive difference.

The Tech Lead we are looking for is a people-oriented team player who can attract and retain the best talent. In addition, it is important that you have the following characteristics: 

  • At least 5 years experience in an enterprise IT environment;
  • Accustomed and comfortable with a “span of control” of approximately 20-30 employees;
  • Knowledge of and experience with DevOps and scaled Agile; 
  • Experienced in team building and guiding DevOps teams;
  • You are strong in coaching, you also know how to convey this to others (coach the coach); 
  • Excellent communication skills, spoken and written (English)
  • Experience with delivering under time pressure within an Agile work environment 
  • Experience with stakeholder management
  • You have experience with change management aspects
  • You can deal well with unexpected setbacks, incidents or calamities; 
  • You are eager to learn and show a steep learning curve. 

This is what we offer you

  • all-in annual earnings up to €110.000 (gross, scale 10 based on your experience, 40 hours per week).
  • 13th month and holiday pay: the holiday allowance and annual allowance will usually be paid out in 12 equal monthly instalments. Employees have the option once a year to opt for the holiday allowance to be paid out in May and the annual allowance in December.
  • an Employee Benefit Budget (11% of your monthly salary). You decide how to spend this budget. This may include purchasing extra leave days, making extra pension contributions, or even receiving a monthly cash pay-out.
  • an annual personal development/training budget of € 1.400,-
  • 100% reimbursement of commuting costs if you travel by public transport! Do you still prefer to travel by car or motorbike? Then choose a commuting allowance.
  • a monthly € 40,- net work from home allowance, based on working from home 5 days per week.
  • a monthly € 40,- net internet allowance.
  • Attractive pension fund with a personal contribution of only 5.5%. Rabobank will contribute 21.5%.
