Protecting the bank and its customers by ensuring that Economic Sanctions risks in client files are assessed and mitigated according to internal procedures and regulatory obligations, in line with the Banks Risk Appetite.  

You and your job
As the Team lead Sanctions Operational Engagement you advise senior management and lead the projects. You monitor the performance of the team and the team members, and create an environment in the team that promotes positive communication and innovation within the team. You have to give constructive inputs to governance forums and stakeholder engagement meetings.

The focus within Operational Engagement is on championing the improved Customer Experience initiatives under the mandate of Economic Sanctions Monitoring(ESM), aligned to the organizational goals. The focus is on timely embedding of the work instructions and improving the quality of investigations and timely customer outreach.

  • Ensuring MI is accurate, contributing to informed decisions and improved customer outcomes.

Top responsibilities

  • Representing ESM at high level meetings and building rapport with all business lines, enhancing timelines and quality of investigations, leading to an improved customer outcomes.
  • Single Point of Contact for coordination and oversight of ESM transformation related projects.
  • Conducting read cross on high-risk issues, manage deviations and managing engagement with FLM, SLM and Audit, to improve quality scores on investigations.
  • Advising and supporting Head of ESM ensuring all regulatory management, high level reports, presentations and documents are accurate.
  • Complaints handling.
  • Responsible for a compilation of trends and typology reports.

You and your talent

  • A completed degree (HBO or university); 
  • 3 years’ experience as a FEC analyst or similar;
  • Concrete substantive FEC knowledge and experience, in-depth knowledge of primary banking processes and systems; 
  • Concrete advanced knowledge of sanctions regulations, policies and procedures; 
  • An accredited counter reader for complex sanctions files or similar is preferable; 
  • Strong analytical skills and innovative thinking; 
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment; 
  • Proficient in both spoken and written Dutch and English; 
  • Encouraging others and stimulating cooperation; 
  • Excellent communication skills and networking ability;
  • Ability to anticipate and adapt quickly to change.

This is what we offer you

  • Up to € 7.307,58 gross per month (scale 10). In addition, a thirteenth month's salary and 8% holiday allowance. 
  • An extra budget of 11% of your gross salary to be used at your discretion. Buy extra holiday hours, add more to your pension savings or ask for part of the extra budget to be paid out.
