As a Senior Technical Solution Architect, you play a key role in technological innovation., where your decisions shape the future of businesses. You are the specialist working tirelessly with a team of architects, developing and maintaining the roadmaps that guide our journey. You are the creator of domain-specific principles and standards, the blueprints that form the backbone of our architectural products.

You and your job

The Solution Architect works actively together with other architects to develop and maintain the roadmaps and other architecture products such as domain specific principles/standards. The architect develops project start architectures (PSA’s) and decision-making memos together with business, delivery and architecture stakeholders. Next to that you collaborate closely with the engineers in our squads to design and develop the applications in the area Credit Origination & Servicing

The Solution Architect is responsible for engineering solution design through understanding business needs and ensuring fit with architectural standards. They also help standardize platforms and tools to identify and propose appropriate technology solutions that meet business requirements.

• You will be successful when the bank can transition to efficient, effective and compliant application solutions.
• Work with internal stakeholders to ensure application solutions are optimized for functionality, reliability, availability, scalability, security and cost. This role will also contribute to the development of strategies, policies, and best practices.

Practical examples

• Creating Project Start Architecture (Solution Intent) and coordinating with stakeholders/architecture board to get approval.
• Translate business and IT requirements into functional architectural designs, aligned with area business architect and the responsible squads
• Coordinate the overall design and implementation.
• Communicate and explain credit risk application and business functions & processes to stakeholders in a complex chain environment.
• Be an advisor to Area leadership, tribe leadership in decision making
• Support the squads when necessary with architecture guidance

We monitor quality of data and portfolios providing insight to continuously improve the end-to-end credit process. We increase trust from the regulator and from the public and we achieve uniformity, simplification and efficiency in the Credit Journey within the bank.

Through the creation of a central overview and by accurately monitoring the portfolios we offer actionable data to the group to improve quality of processes and decisions. Our credit risk framework is the foundation for clear and consistent implementations of global standards that adhere to regulation and ensures protection against inadmissible credit risk.

The area Credit Risk Origination and Services (COS) consists of 10 squads, organized around our purpose:

• We create the best Credit Origination experience with central insights and innovative and compliant services, to better help our clients and select better clients globally.
• Simplify, accelerate and harmonize credit origination across the business units, while enhancing Business Unit  competitiveness.

You and your talent

To be considered for the Senior Technical Solution Architect role, you must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE): Cloud Platform and Infrastructure.
• Microsoft Certified Azure Architect
• Minimum 5+ year’s industry experience as a cloud, or technology solutions architecture including platform design on open source technologies
• Experience with ArchiMate (and ARIS) is a pré
• Practical experience with architecture methods and techniques
• Proven experience in designing and maintaining a services architecture
• Experience in collaborating/facilitating with squads in order to take them along with architecture vision

This is what we offer you

• a gross monthly salary between €5.115,- and €7.307,- (scale 10, 36 hours per week (40 hours possible)). 
• 13th month and holiday pay: the holiday allowance and annual allowance will usually be paid out in 12 equal monthly instalments. Employees have the option once a year to opt for the holiday allowance to be paid out in May and the annual allowance in December. 
• an Employee Benefit Budget (11% of your monthly salary). You decide how to spend this budget. This may include purchasing extra leave days, making extra pension contributions, or even receiving a monthly cash pay-out. 
• an annual personal development/training budget of € 1.400,- 
• 100% reimbursement of commuting costs if you travel by public transport! Do you still prefer to travel by car or motorbike? Then choose a commuting allowance. 
• a monthly € 40,- net work from home allowance, based on working from home 5 days per week. 
• a monthly € 40,- net internet allowance. 
• Attractive pension fund with a personal contribution of only 5.5%. Rabobank will contribute 21.5%.
