Would you like to provide in thought leadership and strategic direction for the bank's sanctions program at a global level? As the Lead Strategic Coverage and Development you and your teams ensure that the bank operates within regulatory requirements and prepares for future developments.

You and your job

You are the linking pin between your teams and the MT to bring forward strategic sanctions proposals to ensure the right decisions can be made. You provide your teams with the tools to lead initiatives that enable Sanctions to reach their maturity targets with the aim to be best in class. Provide recommendations, direction and guidance on topics such as improvement opportunities and innovation and provide for closure of potential gaps using comprehensive data analytics to ensure that the bank's sanctions program is efficient and effective. Support and facilitate the high priority initiatives within Sanctions, including sharpening objectives, resolving blockers and maximising benefits realisation. Make a difference by making sure, we as a bank ‘do the right thing’ now and in the future together with your teams through balanced leadership.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead the teams Strategic Development and Coverage Assurance
  • Contribute to the development of the global strategic vision for the bank's sanctions program, providing thought leadership and strategic direction
  • Influencing stakeholders across various domains and divisions within the bank to reach our goals for a future proof sanctions organisation
  • Providing critical guidance and expertise to product and segment teams for any new launch, ensuring that they align with our vision and risk appetite
  • Challenging the status quo by utilising innovative tools and techniques to enhance the bank's sanctions program's effectiveness
  • Identifying opportunities for transformational change and innovation in collaboration with AI/ML/Robotics teams to develop next-generation solutions

The Lead Strategic Coverage and Development Sanctions is responsible for developing the Sanctions landscape within Rabobank with the goal to meet our vision in the most effective way possible; you do this through applying your deep industry insights across a broad range of topics, both risk and change related. You and your talent

  • Master’s degree;
  • At least 8 years of management experience with the ability to balance people and performance;
  • Demonstrated influential skills;
  • Clear view Sanctions Compliance and Change;
  • Experience with complex senior stakeholder management and high organisational sensitivity and integrity;
  • Ability to work at senior level and to communicate and report effectively to senior management;
  • A team player who enjoys collaboration and facilitation, you can bring different stakeholders together and come to a common understanding;
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written;
  • Social skills are above average, connect easily and are able to formulate clearly and to the point with both internal employees as with strategic partners in the market;
  • A strong problem solver who is able to work with complex topics;
  • A lean and agile mindset, always seeking continuous improvement;
  • Above all; you have a positive presence and are ready to make a difference.

This is what we offer you

  • up to € 8.793,26 gross per month (scale 11);
  • Thirteenth month's salary and 8% holiday allowance.
  • An extra budget of 11% of your gross salary to be used at your discretion. Buy extra holiday hours, add more to your pension savings or ask for part of the extra budget to be paid out.
  • A combination of working from home and at the office.
  • 100% reimbursement of commuting costs if you travel by public transport.
  • A pension scheme to which you contribute 3,5% or 5.5%
