The DevOps Engineer uses expert knowledge to advise during design, build, maintenance and/or improvement of our digital landscape. In addition, you independently analyse, design and manage one or more specific digital environments.
You & your position
The IAM (Identity & Access Management) team at Rabobank manages all identities and access permissions to our global network. Rabobank uses a state-of-the-art IAM systems to manage identities and permissions. Our ambition is to further grow to a platform providing IAM services that are secure by design, seamless and plug-and-play for end users and most of all: Digital Only!
The Access Management team has recently initiated the implementation of PBAC (Policy Based Access Control) based on state-of-the-art tooling, as the Access Management solution for the future. This is a unique opportunity to combine your technical skills with working at the forefront of this challenging new tooling.
We are looking for a creative DevOps Engineer who can quickly pick up on new technologies and values (creating) standards and has a proactive attitude towards automation, testing and security. You have experience with working in Agile teams (Scrum, Scaled Agile Framework).
The team you will be part of consists of 5-7 DevOps engineers. You will be working in a team of techies who are all willing to help each other out. Together we take responsibility for the full lifecycle, from idea, implementation, and up to the operation. You are a DevOps Engineer with a strong affinity for the technical aspects within this job.

Top 3 responsibilities
- Design and configuration of the future Policy-Based Access Control (PBAC) solution
- Technical lead for Access Management system redesign using technologies like Containerization and Kubernetes
- Come up with creative solutions to the use cases that present themselves in case PBAC services are required.

The 150 employees of the Identity & Access Management department have the sole purpose to provide our customers with seamless Identity & Access Management services. This we realize through collaboration; as 1 solution-oriented team within Rabobank.
You & your talent
- 3 years or more experience in relevant aspects of this vacancy
- Strong and broad technology background
- Significant experience with Kubernetes, Containerization
- Experience with cloud, preferably AWS
- Preferably knowledge of Azure DevOps Pipelines, Networking, ITIL
- Experience in programming, preferably Python
- Learning and knowledge-sharing attitude
- Affinity with digital security
- Experience with Agile and Scrum
- Easily find your way in a complex organization
What we offer you
- a salary between € 3711,- and € 5300,- gross a month (scale 8)
- a thirteenth month and holiday pay of 8% annually
- an Employee Benefit Budget (10% of your monthly salary). You decide how to spend this budget. This may include purchasing extra leave days, making extra pension contributions or even receiving a monthly cash payout
- flexible working times and location-independent working;
- Reimbursement for commuting costs when you travel by public transport, car or motorbike;
- a pension scheme, to which your contribution is only 3,5% or 5,5%, that's up to you.
