Quantitative Analyst for Biodiversity
Do you want to help identify how Rabobank can increase its positive impact on nature and reduce its negative impact?

You and your job
As Quantitative Analyst for Biodiversity at RaboResearch you know the secrets of modelling the impact of human activities on nature. This includes combining deep knowledge of top-down models on Nature impact with a good understanding of how bottom-up primary data can be integrated into the picture. You will be part of the team that delivers Rabobank’s first quantitative nature impact report. In addition, as a Quantitative Analyst you create actionable insights on how to implement Rabobank’s Nature vision.

Inspirational practical examples

  • Connect top-down multi-regional input-output tables with driver-to-pressure models to get a first understanding of financed operations with the largest nature impact.
  • Interact with business and remote sensing teams to support the selection of the best bottom-up data to improve the nature impact quantification.
  • Engage with scientists and external initiatives to be at the table at the latest developments and collaboratively translate them to Rabobank.

Work and pleasure

What I really enjoy is developing new footprinting methodologies for nature by connecting theoretical frameworks from academia with the complex reality of business activities that are financed by Rabobank.”

Felix Beckebanze, Quantitative Analyst with a focus on Biodiversity at RaboResearch.

The big picture

Rabobank finances farmers and food supply chain clients around the world. Farming impacts biodiversity, both positively and negatively. How can we quantify the financed impact on nature? Which type of data do we need to do so? And how can we reduce the negative impact and increase the positive impact? Answering these questions is how you share your talent as a Quantitative Analyst at Rabobank.
