As a fellow scrum master, you will be the driving force for the teams to lift our Way of Working to a higher level. With the goals to deliver business value with the right quality, security, efficiency and fun.

You are a proactive team player with a strong yet flexible mentality to get things done. You demonstrate the ability to persuade and inspire others while also having an aptitude for attentive listening and building connections. Additionally, you can lead by example while maintaining an independent stance. You are enthusiastic, empathetic, and open-minded and you bring energy. You support the squads by educating them and helping them continuously improve their development process. You are self-aware; you know your unique qualities and how to use them as effectively as possible. 

Fostering collaboration, driving continuous improvement, and facilitating operational excellence is your primary mission as a scrum master leading two teams within the area.

A strong understanding of the Scrum framework is essential. This includes knowledge of Scrum roles, events, artifacts, and the underlying agile principles. We do expect that a candidate also has the valid certifications to back this up (PSM I/II, or similar).


Your role

  • Teaching and applying agile practices
  • Coaching squads into becoming High Performing Teams
  • Collaborating with Scrum Masters, Product Owners and Tech Leads to drive changes
  • Cultivate Excellence: Foster a culture of high engagement, enabling your squad to implement intricate initiatives with precision.
  • Engage in Rituals: Organize, participate, and contribute to area and tribe rituals, ensuring alignment and progress.
  • Coach for Success: Support the Product Owner with backlog, roadmap and stakeholder management, while coaching your squads to continuously measure and improve their performance and impact
  • Foster a Safe Environment: Help your squads create a safe space where feedback is freely given and received, promoting growth and innovation.
  • Drive Personal Development: Mentor individual squad members and fellow scrum masters in their personal development and Agile maturity.
  • Collaborate with Leaders: Be a sparring partner for area leadership, enhancing the maturity and quality of our Agile organization.
  • Bridge Cultural Differences: Understand and bridge cultural differences to create a cohesive and collaborative team environment.
  • Optimize Tools: Maximize the use of Azure DevOps to manage work and dependencies effectively.
  • Enhance Predictability: Strive with your squad to improve on refinement, predictability, reliability, and transparency in all endeavors.
  • Contribute to the scrum master Community: Support events on the Area level

You and your talent

  • Educational Background: University-level education with a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
  • Scrum Master Certification: Certified (PSM1/PSM2/PSPO or similar) Scrum Master with a minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience.
  • Methodologies Expertise: Experience with practices such as Azure DevOps, Power BI, Agile, Scrum.
  • Coaching Experience: Proven ability to coach and guide high-performance multicultural squads, intervening effectively in individual and group settings to enhance team maturity.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and mentoring skills, focusing on the scrum values of openness, honesty, and respect; mastery of English (Dutch is a plus).
  • Team Dynamics: Passion for cross-functional teams, co-creation, processing group feedback, and engaging in inclusive decision-making.
  • Proactive and Pragmatic: Always looking for opportunities for continuous improvement with a proactive and pragmatic approach.

To be considered for this position, you must be located in the Netherlands or elsewhere in the EU and have the legal right to work in the Netherlands. We are unable to consider candidates requiring relocation from another country.

What we offer

  • up to € 6.130,64 (scale 9)
  • a thirteenth month and holiday pay.
  • an Employee Benefit Budget (11 % of your monthly salary). You decide how to spend this budget. This may include purchasing extra leave days, making extra pension contributions or even receiving extra cash on a monthly basis.
  • A personal budget that you can spend on activities related to your personal development and career.
