Azure Data Engineer Tribe External Reporting

We seek an experienced Azure Data Engineer to join our dynamic and diverse development team. You will focus on developing ETL processes, building robust data models, and ensuring a high-performing back-end for our Azure Synapse solution. This role is crucial in enabling our financial analysts to analyse regulatory reporting data more quickly and efficiently.

Where will you be working? You’ll become part of Tribe External Reporting. This department is critical in maintaining Rabobank’s compliance with financial regulations and standards. The teams within Tribe External Reporting are responsible for the accurate and timely submission of regulatory reports to various financial authorities. By leveraging advanced data analytics and reporting tools, we ensure that our reporting processes are efficient, transparent, and compliant with all regulatory requirements.

Which squad will you join? The Analysis & Comparison squad is currently developing a cutting-edge Azure Synapse solution integrated with Power BI dashboards. This solution is designed to revolutionize how our financial analysts access and analyse regulatory reporting data. By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to work on an innovative project, contributing to developing a solution that will significantly enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our regulatory reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using Azure Data Factory and other relevant tools.
• Build and optimize data models to support efficient data analysis and reporting.
• Design and develop SQL queries and procedures to ensure stability and performance.
• Develop and maintain the back-end infrastructure to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with data analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Implement best practices for data management, security, and governance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and provide ongoing support.

You and your talent

• Proven experience (minimum of 4+ years) as an Azure Data Engineer or in a similar role. 
• Strong expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and PowerBI. 
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and other relevant programming languages. 
• Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing. 
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
• Strong communication and collaboration skills. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the financial services industry, particularly in regulatory reporting. 
• Experience in Azure Databricks
• Knowledge of data governance and security best practices. 
• Certification in Azure Data Engineering or related fields. 

To be considered for this position, you must be located in the Netherlands or elsewhere in the EU and have the legal right to work in the Netherlands. We are unable to consider candidates requiring relocation from another country.

This is what we offer you.

• Salary between €4.292 and €7.307 gross per month (scale 9-10), 36 hours per week (40 hours possible);
• Thirteenth (13th) month's salary and (8% )holiday allowance;
• an extra budget of (11%) of your gross monthly salary to be used at your discretion. Buy extra holiday hours, add more to your pension savings, or payout.
• Hybrid position and working from home Net allowance
• 100 % reimbursement of commuting costs if you travel by public transport! Do you still prefer to travel by car or motorbike? Then choose a commuting allowance;
• A pension scheme, to which your contribution is only 5,5%.
