Global FEC Governance Advisor

Would you like to play a critical role in further developing the governance and organizational structure of Rabobank’s Financial Economic Crime (FEC) domain, ensuring compliance through sustainable and effective design principles? The position of Global FEC Governance Advisor might just be something for you! You and your job

The new organizational structure and governance of Rabobank’s Global FEC domain has led to clear demarcation of roles and responsibilities and improved segregation of duties. From 2024 onwards,  the ambition is to further simplify the FEC organization and enhance the integration of all relevant FEC activities under the global responsibility of the Chief FEC Officer (CFECO). To realize this ambition, the FEC Governance team plays a crucial role in executing the Global FEC Strategy and streamlining the FEC organization during the coming years. Combining strong governance expertise with skilled stakeholder management, you take ownership in situations where responsibilities are not yet fully crystallized to provide clarity on roles and responsibilities throughout the different departments of the FEC organization. In this dynamic, complex environment with many parts moving simultaneously, we are looking for a seasoned FEC professional with an independent mindset who likes the challenge of bringing clarity in ambiguous situations.

Practical Examples

  • You implement the FEC Governance team’s global monitoring and oversight role by providing sound advice on governance matters, ensuring adherence to a common standard throughout the FEC domain;
  • You are involved in continuously updating and maintaining Rabobank FEC’s Internal Governance Framework and related reporting.
  • You provide advice on the design and execution of organizational changes within FEC from a governance perspective, ensuring changes are aligned with the global FEC governance and FEC design principles.

Top 3 responsibilities

  • Advise senior management on design choices/issues related to governance, and contribute to effective and sustainable design;
  • Coordinate the process of governance (re)design for senior management and FEC departments, such as committee structures;
  • Monitor uniformity and strategic alignment in design, decision- and reporting lines between departments within the FEC domain.

You and your talent

  • Relevant Master’s degree, preferably in a governance related field such as Law, Business Management or Business Administration;
  • You have at least 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience in a dynamic banking environment, with practical knowledge in the field of FEC and Governance;
  • You are experienced in stakeholder management within an evolving organization;
  • You have extensive knowledge and experience in the area of governance related laws and regulations (including Wft, EBA and DNB guidelines), Wwft, Sanctions compliance and regulations, with a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape and emerging trends;
  • You are familiar with the primary banking processes (corporate and investment banking), products and systems and are well aware of the way of working of a bank/Rabobank with regards to FEC;
  • You are driven to continuously keep your knowledge up to date with new developments in the industry;
  • You master the English language in word and writing.

This is what we offer you

  • Scale 11, depending on your knowledge and experience. With a maximum of € 8.793.
  • Thirteenth month's salary and 8% holiday allowance.
  • An extra budget of 11 % of your gross salary to be used at your discretion. Buy extra holiday hours, add more to your pension savings or ask for part of the extra budget to be paid out.
  • A combination of working from home and at the office.
