You and your job
You are in charge of change initiatives as part of the bank-wide Agile transformation called “Simplify@Scale” (S@S). This is Rabobank’s scaled Agile operating model to create and maintain products and services. As an Agile Organisation & Governance consultant you are responsible for the (re-)design of the operating model for our Domains and Tribes and further develop our Agile framework and governance to ensure an operating model that is simple, uniform and effective across the bank. You work closely together with senior management and in multi-disciplinary teams of strategy, HR and other disciplines to get from idea-to-decision and into implementation.
- (Re-)design Domains and or Tribes and guide the decision-making process for new organization designs.
- Further develop the planning- and prioritization process – and corresponding meetings – for all people working in S@S.
- Further develop the governance and steering within the Agile organization. Think of the roles & responsibilities, the decision making-, and risk management process, and the meeting set-up for both within the Tribes as the interaction with other (non-Agile) departments.
- Improve the strategy-to-execution process and implement best-practices of Agile portfolio management, e.g. on metrics, benefit tracking and tooling.
- Drive decision making on Managing Board and department level on changes with bank-wide application.
- Supporting the organization in other complex questions around the S@S operating model - applying Agile principles smartly in the interest of the organization (without being dogmatic).
Practical Examples
- We transformed the Finance and Risk organisation with the implementation of 6 Tribes – we led the project management office and the design of the new organization.
- We worked with colleagues to design and implement Value Chain steering in our Retail NL organisation, allowing 9 Tribes to work effectively together with their counterparts in the Commercial department, Operations and Risk.
- We worked together with domain teams to implement a mature model for Agile portfolio management and the meeting structure for planning and alignment across the domains.

Together we achieve more than alone
We believe in the power of difference. Bringing people's differences together is what makes us an even better bank. So we are very curious about what you can bring to our team at Chapter Simplify@Scale.
"This role allows me to collaborate with a diverse range of colleagues within the bank, working together to structure the organization more effectively."
Denise Vestjens, Agile Organisation & Governance Consultant
The 12 Consultants and Enterprise Agile Coaches in the S@S Chapter ensure a well-functioning Simplify@Scale Agile Operating Model. This Chapter has recently gone trough a transformation itself, which provides new opportunities for the team to (re)develop our team and expertise. In collaboration with the Agile Coaches within the Domains they ensure a thorough implementation within the bank.
