You and your role

As an DevOps Engineer in our team, you will be responsible for

• the build and service delivery of our Secure Service Edge (SSE) platform to our customers.
• troubleshooting technical issues and being able to host troubleshooting calls with clients and third parties. You own and solve problems with the team and vendor.
• working with other engineers in and outside our team on new initiatives. You contribute to the research of new features and documentation.
• the continuity and reliability of our services in public and private cloud. You want to guarantee the best possible daily user experience.
• applying the general & security best practices to keep the platform compliant, secure, and ready to detect and mitigate emerging threats.

You and your department

We are squad SAND and are based within Engineering & Enterprise Technology (EET), Foundation 4 Tech, Distributed Networks department. We deliver the full stack of SSE based on Zscaler technology for all Rabobank devices globally. Our platform secures access to web, cloud services and private applications regardless of the location of our users or the devices they are using.

With our service, we contribute to the ZTNA transformation of Rabobank. With onboarding all Rabobank endpoints in Zscaler we see a clear load shift towards our team and with that, we become a more dependent factor on providing secure application access over the Internet. This increases our administrative duties and requires us to integrate through security automation.

Our services fully reside in the cloud, are mission-critical and are 24/7/365 available. We provide our services globally to more than 43,000 colleagues.

You and your work days

• at Rabobank, enjoy the flexibility of working from home most days, with one fun office day each week to catch up and collaborate with colleagues!
• the office location is in Utrecht (Croeselaan 18)

Work is mostly done during EU office hours. As our work spans the Rabobank network globally, work occasionally needs to be done outside EU office hours. On-call duty is also part of this position.

You and your talent

• a bachelor’s degree in preferably Software Engineering, Computer Science, Networks Engineering, or another STEM related field OR be technically trained
• high proficiency in speaking, reading and writing English
• written and oral communication and presentation skills
• knowledge about and experience with Agile, DevOps, Lean and ITIL

You and your skills

• scripting and automation skills including languages such as Python and  PowerShell
• public cloud providers (e.g., AWS / Azure)
• perform basic and advanced troubleshooting to diagnose common network problems using fundamental TCP/IP network skills
• experience with security technologies including but not limited to: VPN, SWG, NGFW, IPsec/GRE, Reverse Proxy, SSO/MFA
• Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems (e.g., Entra ID, ADFS)
• experience with SSE solutions or some of the components

​Based on the experience and skills demonstrated during the interview process, the appropriate placement within scale 9 or 10 will be determined.
