Rabobank is looking for a Tech Lead, with proven experience in leading in complex environments, who is primarily responsible for leading a number of teams working on our Global Data & Analytics Platform.

Tech4D&A
Within the CITO division Engineering & Data Tech, the domain Tech4D&A is the main driver behind the data driven, and enabler of the most strategic objectives of Rabobank: FEC, Customer Insights, Compliancy and Sustainability. The objectives of Tech4D&A are:
- Delivery of platforms and standardised services, these have a Rabobank wide impact;
- Set up of sustainable and standardised data and analytics products;
- Maintenance of datawarehousing and database environments for corporate purposes;
- Setting standards, way of working and other deliverables for building the data driven together with the tribe D&A.
Role
As a Tech Lead you are there for impact on people, process and technology. Think of high performing teams, working on the latest technologies and creating a secure and stable platform which our users love.
Since the Data Platform area has a bank-wide function, you are expected to do a lot of stakeholder management. It is important to continuously interact with your environment to ensure that the right service is provided. Together with the product owner and the solution architect, you ensure prioritization of the work, the design of roadmaps and the optimal contribution to Rabobank's goals.
As the environment is constantly in transition, you will be expected to identify, initiate and implement process improvements. And in this challenging transition it is very important to keep our squads engaged. In this role you will be responsible for:
- Increasing the maturity level of the Data Platform squads and the way in which they ensures value creation within Rabobank;
- Stimulating a 'engineering culture';
- Further implementation of agile working;
- Expansion and optimization of offshoring;
You are a member of the Management team on the Global Data Platform. This is a domain within the “Engineering & Enterprise Tech/Tech 4 Data & Analytics” division. An innovative domain that focuses on innovation and the sustainable strengthening of Rabobank's IT capacity. You will directly work together with 2 fellow tech leads and indirectly with 12 other tech leads within Data & Analytics. In this role you will report to the Senior Tech Lead Data Platform.
Role
The Tech Lead we are looking for is a people-oriented collaborator. You are customer-oriented and inspiring. You make impact. You makes promises and keeps them with drive, decisiveness and guts. In addition, it is important that you have the following characteristics:
- Academic working and thinking level;
- At least 5 years of experience in similar roles within complex IT environments;
- Accustomed and comfortable with a “span of control” of approximately 50 employees;
- Knowledge of and experience with DevOps teams and scaled Agile (SAFe);
- Relevant experience with issues in complex data environments;
- Extensive experience in software development and management;
- Experience in guiding DevOps teams in transition;
- You have achieved demonstrable results by guiding teams towards autonomy and a high level of performance;
- Demonstrable affinity and passion for digitization and Cloud technology;
- Mastery of the English language (business level, writing and speaking);
- You take on a pivotal role by weighing interests and risks together with the business.
- You are a solid interlocutor of the business, who exudes seniority. You take on a pivotal role by weighing interests and risks together with the business. You keep your back straight in difficult discussions.
