You and your job
Finance and Risk (F&R) are responsible to account, consolidate, enrich, model and report data. In that sense, the work of F&R influences every aspect of the work of Rabobank. Data Management is a set of tools we use to ensure data is owned and governed, controlled and monitored. It encompasses capabilities like Data Governance, Data Flows and Processes, Data Modelling and Metadata Management. As a Data Consultant in the Chapter Data of Finance and Risk, you advise Tribes and fellow Chapter Data employees, on the development and implementation of data related capabilities. Based on your knowledge of internal and external developments, you analyze the clients’ needs and propose solutions within the boundaries of architecture, regulation and guidance, to make their data processes efficient, effective and future-proof.
You know the inner workings of data management and are able to tell a compelling story. But you are also able to listen to the needs of your (internal) customers, to take their circumstances and needs into account and to propose simple solutions for complex problems, that have a high chance of success. You not only advise, but you also participate in the actual implementation, where you will first show how to do it, then guide how it is done, and then let it be done by your co-workers.
Practical Examples
- Design solutions for lineage or metadata management for Tribes and support in implementation.
- Support implementations with the creation and / or comparison of logical data models.
- Support end users in the sourcing and management of historical data for risk models.
- Guide the design and implementation of data processes.
