Are you the Sanctions Advisor with in-depth sanctions knowledge who plays a critical role in ensuring that the bank operates within regulatory requirements on sanctions and mitigates potential sanctions risks? 

As a Sanctions Advisor you make a contribution by providing expert guidance on sanctions across the bank. 
Specifically for this position the focus is on making sure the bank and our customers are protected against violation 
of sanction regulations. You are a strong sparring partner, with thorough knowledge of both the business and the 
relevant laws and regulations. You will provide expert guidance and advice to operational and business teams 
across the bank on managing sanctions risks in complex cases and will help to flag structural control deficiencies 
and to contribute (targeted) thematic reviews on specific sectors, channels, and products, identifying potential 
risks and contribute to developing effective risk mitigation strategies.

An average working day
Are you curious about what would be on your to-do list on an average working day? Providing expertise on sanctions to the global and regional Operational and Business teams on transactions, customers, products and services, SIRA, Risk Appetite Statement, targeted reviews etc. And contribute to the development of Rabobank’s sanctions procedures in line with evolving regulatory obligations and ensuring they are in line with the Global policies and standards on sanctions of Rabobank.

You and your talent
• Bachelor or Master degree (preferably in law or economics) 
• 3-5 year experience (or related) in Sanctions 
• Experiences on AML & CFT themes are a plus
• Experience in the financial industry and Wholesale and Agricultural products, preferably within Banking (Wholesale and/or Financial Markets) 
• Certified in the field of sanctions from a renowned international organization (such as ACAMS or ACSS) is a plus
• Demonstrable experience in working within an international context
• You are able to converse and have excellent writing skills in English
• You are a team player and enjoy working together with others
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop risk mitigation strategies.
