You and your job

As an (Associate) Director in Rabobank’s Project Finance team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by delivering transactions that drive the energy transition. You will develop innovative financing solutions and explore new technologies and markets, working with professional international companies in a team that holds a leading position in the European renewable energy and infrastructure markets.

Your role will involve due diligence, structuring, and executing complex project finance transactions throughout Europe. You will have regular client contact and travel within the Netherlands and Europe, collaborating closely with other Project Finance team members and various departments within Rabobank. Your responsibilities will include preparing presentations to pitch for new transactions, handling credit applications, reviews, waivers, and transaction documentation, while ensuring compliance with Rabobank's corporate standards.

Additionally, you will take a proactive approach to project and market developments, seeking new clients and opportunities, and actively contributing to internal projects aimed at optimizing the organization and development of the department.

Our Project Finance team brings talented people together to provide limited and non-recourse financings as well as debt advisory to the renewable energy and infrastructure sector. We are a team of 70 experienced individuals and part of the Global Project Finance team, consisting of approx. 110 people. We often have leading roles in transactions in on- and offshore wind, solar, data centers and more innovative sectors (e.g. batteries, sustainable heating systems and geothermal) and are active in different countries such as the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Spain, the Nordics, the UK, Ireland, France and Italy. Transaction size ranges from EUR 35mln to a few billion EUR investments and are characterised by a high degree of complexity enabling you to use your creativity and analytical skills.

You and your talent

Of course you are customer-focused, proactive, a team player and enthusiastic. It's exactly these characteristics that will make you a good addition to our team, particularly in combination with:

  • Master’s degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in the origination, structuring, and execution of financing transactions in Project Finance, including a relevant client network.
  • Strong knowledge of credit, legal, tax, and lending practices.
  • Ability to cooperate with different departments within the bank, as the energy transition is a key pillar for Rabobank.
  • Good modelling skills and proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Pioneering and acquisitive personality: Your contribution to continuous deal origination and creative deal structuring is instrumental.
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written; Dutch language skills would be beneficial.
  • Creative and solution-oriented.
  • Commercial drive with a can-do attitude, backed by solid analytical skills and good risk awareness.
