Associate Portfolio Management - Group Steering / Sustainability

A unique opportunity at the cross-section of strategic portfolio steering and sustainability.

In this position, you are part of Rabobank’s Group Steering team with a primary focus on sustainability. You will work closely with the Theme Lead Sustainability in driving the integration of sustainability into the existing performance management frameworks. Our team is part of the Portfolio Management department (Corporate Development/CFO domain), responsible for advising the Management Board and Committees of Rabobank on strategic themes such as portfolio composition, capital, pricing and sustainability.

The main objective of the Sustainability Theme is to enable portfolio steering from an integral risk, return and sustainability perspective. This means to integrate sustainability in the existing performance management frameworks, deploy the portfolio management toolkit to achieve desired portfolio mix and strong collaboration with Group and Business stakeholders. As sub-team within Portfolio Management we work closely together with the other stakeholders  in enabling portfolio steering decisions. The sustainability field is fast-developing, complex and largely unstandardized.

You create true impact with your mindset, change agility, self-starter and  collaboration skills as well as your ability to think outside the box. You need to understand the key strategic drivers that determine the direction of the bank in order to ensure sustainability is treated in the same way as for example return-on-equity and growth.
