You and your job

The new strategy team for the global wholesale banking activities of Rabobank is designed to set the future direction and steer our business in making the right trade-offs. You will help in developing a long-term strategy for existing and potential new activities. Concentrating on defining target states and transitions, and strategically optimizing for opportunities, sustainability impacts, and risks. 

The Wholesale strategy team will be a team of strategy consultants with the objective to define the overarching growth strategy and specifically the international positioning on Food & Agri, Energy, and potential adjacent activities.

We are looking for an experienced strategy consultant with a proven track record in developing strategic initiatives. In this job you help to develop long-term strategy for existing and potential adjacent activities, considering commercial positioning, external developments and resource dynamics. You will collaborate with a diverse and international team of experts, enjoying excellent working conditions and opportunities for professional development

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans: Formulate long-term strategies for the wholesale banking division, including market analysis, competitive research, and decision making on growth opportunities.
• Lead strategic projects: Coordinate and manage multidisciplinary teams to successfully execute complex strategy projects from concept to implementation.
• Help develop the strategy process for the new wholesale banking organization and coach the team members on strategy setting skills.
• Stay on top of market trends: Monitor market developments and trends to focus our strategic efforts, make recommendations and position the organization for future growth.
• Utilize data analysis and interpretation to make fact-based strategic decisions and measure the effectiveness of strategies.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, to gain support for strategic initiatives.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations to clearly communicate strategic plans and proposed decision making to executive management and other stakeholders.

You and your talent

• You hold a master’s degree in a relevant field, with extensive experience at leading strategy consultancy firm and possess in-depth knowledge of commercial wholesale banking.
• This role demands savviness in sophisticated analysis, clarity in communication, and a shown proficiency in steering a project vision to completion.
• Your sharp analytical foresight and relentless drive will be crucial in developing innovative solutions and ensuring project outcomes exceed expectations.
• Your leadership style inspires high performance and engagement, motivating the team to achieve exceptional results.
• You have demonstrated expertise in managing strategy setting projects  and leadership within cross-functional, international teams.
• You embrace cultural diversity and possess a keen awareness of balancing return, risks and sustainability impact.
