You and your job

Within Clients and Portfolio Management (CPM) we are seeking a Wholesale Strategy Consultant to drive growth and to navigate Rabobank through future developments. In this role, you will identify opportunities in existing and adjacent businesses, contributing to our ambitious growth targets. 

Clients and Portfolio Management is a new, global department, designed to set direction and steer our business in making the right trade-offs. Organized to empower the regions and all global business lines to fuel the strategy and execute on the growth agenda. Within CPM, the Wholesale strategy team will be a team of strategy consultants with the objective to define the overarching growth strategy and specifically Rabobank’s global positioning in key sectors such as Food & Agri, Energy, and potential adjacent activities. Moreover, it will refine the transition approach of the wholesale activities by addressing the required target states and transition perspective towards those targets, optimizing for opportunities, sustainability impacts, and risks.

Key responsibilities 

  • Lead strategic initiatives, which includes both direction on content but equally important organizing the initiative towards decision making. 
  • Collaborate with Senior Wholesale Strategy Leads: Engage in the ongoing strategy development to structurally refine and advance our strategic direction. 
  • Strategic Advisory Role: Act as a trusted advisor and sparring partner to business and strategy leads, providing critical insights and feedback.

You and your talent

You are a senior strategy consultant with a talent for driving change. Your experience in international wholesale banking make you a valuable asset. Your analytical skills translate complex, fact-based data into actionable insights. In addition, it's important that you recognise everything in the checklist below: 

  • A strategic thinker holding a master's degree, ready to drive impactful change.
  • A minimum of 8 years of strategy consultancy experience with a leading firm, including experience in assignments for the financial industry and commercial Wholesale banking. 
  • You have strong project management skills, ensuring timely and successful project delivery. 
  • You maintain a high standard of quality in all deliverables, consistently staying ahead of expectations. 
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • You lead strategic initiatives with the ultimate goal in mind to drive business growth, demonstrating result-oriented agility in your approach. 
  • You have a natural curiosity and keen interest in the financial industry and its future developments.
