Organisational context

IT Vendor Management is part of CITO, Central Innovation & Technology Office. CITO assures that Rabobank can be a rock-solid and innovative technology-driven cooperative bank. With rock-solid we mean running the bank of today stable, secure, and at the right cost level. Innovative applies to our responsibility to drive the innovation and the (digital)transformation agenda of the bank with state-of-the-art technology and data & analytics capabilities.

The Software Asset Management (SAM) team is part of IT Vendor Management (ITVM) consisting of around 40 colleagues. ITVM is responsible for managing all suppliers within CITO (sourcing, software, hardware) on a daily basis, to deliver every day added value within the colleagues and our external partners for internal customers. You will join the SAM team, which consists of four colleagues.

At Rabobank we want to pay for what we use and to avoid paying for things we do not use. As a Software Asset Manager you can directly contribute to that goal by ensuring contract compliancy and providing input for license optimization on a global scale.

Software Asset Manager

This role puts the Software Asset Manager between the IT Vendor- & Contract Manager and the owners of the products and services supplier by our vendors. These are spread across different IT departments of the bank. Within this context, your main responsibilities are:

  • supporting stakeholders with regard to:
  • outlining contractual license reporting needs vs reporting of the software use or usage, towards the ‘business’;
  • identifying cost saving opportunities for software spend;
  • assuring license compliancy:
  • information needs, reporting & analytics, regarding the use ao the usage of the deployed software;
  • active communication regarding the current license position with the stakeholders within ITVM and the IT departments of the bank;
  • administration of contracts & licenses and organising of renewals;
  • accurate administration, record keeping of our software license positions;
  • maintaining SAM tooling, including infrastructure coverage, software discovery & inventory in general and actively supporting the migration of the tooling towards new platforms;
  • further development of our procedures standards guidelines;
  • support external audit support.

Collaboration is our working method and strength; as one passionate department within Rabobank, together we achieve more than alone.

Hybrid working

The SAM team is based in Utrecht, Croeselaan, and has two formal team days per month, of which one at the Utrecht office and one at the Eindhoven office. For the rest, you are always welcome to join the other ITVM colleagues (including the vendor managers you work with) at the Utrecht office.

Together we achieve more than alone

We believe in the power of differences. By combining the unique differences of people we make sure that we become an even better bank. We are therefore curious about what you will add to the IT Vendor Management team.
