As a Solution Architect within Rabobank's Digital Platform, you will be responsible for designing future-proof IT-solutions and for guiding the DevOps teams during the implementation. You will be part of the squad management triangle together with the Product Owner and Tech Lead and collaborate closely with various stakeholders to ensure our IT solutions meet the highest standards of reliability, scalability, and security. You will join Tribe Digital Platform (DP) which is the driving force behind excellent customer experiences. DP ensures safe online access for all our digital interactions, and develops the Rabobank app, the Global Sites & Rabo Business Banking, all from one single platform.

Within the Tribe, there is the Area Rabo Business Banking (RBB) – which ambition is to be the most trusted and complete financial one-stop-shop for enterprising Netherlands. With Rabo Business Banking, we provide personalized insights into the financial administration and let entrepreneurs arrange everything with confidence in a smooth and simple manner. Within RBB, there is team Marina. This Solution Architect position is specifically for Team Marina, a hybrid squad within RBB. The team consists of offshore engineers based in India and onshore members including a Product Owner and Business Analyst located in the Netherlands. Team Marina is responsible for developing and maintaining key assets such as Download Cost Overview and Transactions, which are essential for business clients to gain insights into their financial activities and make informed decisions.

• Designing a scalable microservices architecture for a high-load application.
• Implementing zero-trust authentication across digital channels.
• Stimulating collaboration between DevOps teams through shared architecture principles.

• Team Marina manages solutions that enable thousands of business clients to analyse their financial transactions daily.

• Translating complex business and IT requirements into concrete solution designs that fit within the enterprise and domain architecture.
• Delivering formal architecture documents such as solution designs and Project Start Architectures (PSA), including guiding DevOps teams during implementation.
• Ensuring compliance with architectural principles and guidelines, including performing security assessments and writing disaster recovery plans.

As a Solution Architect, you are also responsible for monitoring the quality, performance, and availability of IT solutions, and you actively contribute to knowledge sharing within the tribe.

• At least 8 years of experience in IT DevOps, including 2 years as a Solution Architect.
• Experience with software development and architecture models (such as ArchiMate, TOGAF).
• Knowledge of cloud native solutions (preferably Azure).
• Experience with backends for frontends and hands-on experience as a Java/Kotlin engineer in the past is a plus.
• Experience with OpenSearch is a plus.
• You are familiar with the rituals of Agile/Scrum.
