Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to ensure processing of trades and reconciliation within the Operations team is performed in an efficient and client-focused manner. You will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining internal and external relationships where relevant to ensure a smooth flow of tasks within the team. This role is a permanent full-time role.

Role Responsibilities

• Allocate futures and options trades for SFE/ASX24 and ASX where necessary, process give-ups and takeups for SFE/ASX24 trades (via Genium/SEALS) and for ASX trades (via MCM).
• Process option exercise instructions from client advice in MCM or Genium, process SFE/ASX24 and ASX expiry as per procedures.
• Ensure all role-related reconciliations are completed and correct on a daily basis, with all items actioned daily
• Process all payments via Austraclear, for both futures and options settlement & margin calls and when needed on an adhoc basis.
• Ensure client queries and problems are resolved within a timely manner.
• Ensure all procedures relating to the role are kept updated as and when necessary, taking ownership for the maintenance and accuracy of all Australian operational procedures.

Role Requirements

• 1-3 years experience working in a financial markets position
• Good knowledge of financial markets, particularly within the APAC region
• Good working knowledge of Genium, MCM, and Austraclear/Exigo
• Experience using a variety of Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to collaborate and communicate with different stakeholders
