Data Management & Architecture (DM&A) at ABN AMRO is looking for strong Data Engineers. Data Management & Architecture (DM&A) is responsible for data management and architecture of the ABN AMRO and consists of about 600 people. Your role

• Design and develop message and streaming processing components for Kafka-based messaging platform
• Configure, deploy and operate Kafka broker clusters, Kafka connect clusters and other Confluent/Strimzi components
• Create and deliver novel message and streaming solutions
• Build, maintain and renew applications & services
• Improving existing applications by applying new software solutions

Your profile

• This role asks for an open, collaborative and innovative person, someone that likes to improve, solve problems and share knowledge and vision
• Experience in developing message and streaming processing components for Kafka-based messaging platform
• Strong knowledge on Kafka ecosystem (Kafka Connect, Kafka Broker, Kafka Streams, schema registry, KsqlDB, Mirror Maker)
• Experience with public cloud (Azure, GCP, AWS)
• You have experience working with Kubernetes, Databases like MySQL, Postgres and Linux
• Experience in configuration, deployment and operations of Kafka broker clusters, Kafka connect clusters and other Confluent/Strimzi components
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible
• Experience in monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios
• Good programming skills in Python would be highly desirable, although not mandatory
• You thrive in working in a collaborative environment with a flat hierarchy, focused on bringing the data, applications and platforms to the next level
• However, your experience and ability to solve problems and a positive mindset is just as important
