Are you excited to be part of the grid which maintains the best Dutch Banking Apps? Then please read along. We are looking for a test automation engineer within the 'Personal Banking & Digital Channels Grid'. The vacancy is within one of the DevOps teams working on our ABN AMRO app. As a QA engineer you identify bugs at an early stage which helps us keeping a stable code base for our customers. Together with the colleagues in the QA Circle you will strive for improving quality even further!

Your job

You are part of a multidisciplinary DevOps team. On a daily basis you work together, inside and outside your team, with mobile developers, designers and product owners. You are a confident problem solver, that wants to find every bug and solve it. You make sure that every user story has been tested thoroughly - by you and your teammates - before the end of a sprint. You are an experienced professional but also open minded in learning new technologies and learn from the best practices. With this mind-set and experience you automate testing and processes as much as possible. You like to be challenged and you pro-actively challenge others. Together with your teammates you grow.
As a person you are a strong communicator, and someone who can explain and transfer knowledge properly. You keep your head cool and keep the overview in stressful situations. Furthermore, you are someone how likes to try new things and gets involved in the matter. Feedback giving and getting comes naturally and speaking up is a second nature.

Working environment

Within the Personal Banking Grid (department) at ABN AMRO we are building mobile & web apps for our clients to engage with their financial needs in a personal and innovative way. Examples are the Grip app, the ABN AMRO App and the ABN AMRO Internet Banking website. At the Personal Banking Grid we believe in agile way of working, while focusing on solid principles that gives teams a sense of autonomy and purpose over the direction they work in, while working on getting better at things that matter to master new/important skills.These apps wouldn’t exist without developers and engineers using their talent and skills to get this done. Your profile

  • 5+ year’s experience in mobile testing
  • Experience with one of the following programming languages: Java, Kotlin or Swift
  • Familiar with the following tools: Jenkins/Azure DevOps, Xcode, Android Studio, Postman, Charles.
  • Experience with the following mobile test automation frameworks: Espresso and XCUITest
  • Experience with mocking and stubbing backend calls
  • 3+ years' experience in working Agile and/or Scrum
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and writing) in English
