Senior Microsoft BI/Datawarehouse Developer

You will work in an agile BI DevOps team (of 7 FTEs) that develops and manages two of the bank's local Data Warehouses where large parts of the business are located in Holland. As a Microsoft BI/DWH Developer at Handelsbanken, you contribute to valuable insights through work with data and analysis, using a modern technical environment. Together with the BI team, we provide useful information for the bank's operations and we deliver data to the regulators and tax authorities in several countries, but mainly in the Netherlands. The team covers the BI workload from Data Ingestion (ETL) to visualization.

The team members are located in Amsterdam and in Stockholm. This role is Amsterdam based.

What will you be doing:

• Collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Researching root causes of issues, to identify process breakdowns.
• Solve performance issues related to data-loading or reporting.
• Work alongside other BI-developers, architects and product-owners to develop cohesive and performant BI and reporting solutions.
• Review completed code and other deliverables to ensure that they meet specifications and requirements based on defined expectations. Ensure best practices are being followed in developing all layers of a business solution.
• Participate in daily or weekly Scrum meetings with the BI team.
• Support end-users with data delivery and troubleshooting.
• Together with the team and stakeholders outside the team guarantee the smooth running of the Data Warehouses of the Netherlands and Poland. This includes for example planning for timely life-cycling of components, proactive review of logs and continuity planning and testing.

This is what we offer you:

• A salary of minimum €3.840 and a maximum of €5.900 gross per month, based on a 40-hour working week. The final salary depends on your knowledge and experience,
• A 13th month and 8% holiday pay. You can choose to have this paid out per month.

Your Profile:

• You are eligible to work in the Netherlands, as we don't offer visa sponsorship.
• Proven track record working with:
• Business Intelligence, Datawarehousing and Dimensional modeling (KimBall)
• Microsoft BI stack (SSIS and SSRS)
• Financial applications (like core banking applications, account, payment or mortgage related systems) is a plus
• Writing complex T-SQL functions/procedures
• GIT with VisualStudio / Azure DevOps
• Database management (SQL)
• It would be a big plus if you have experience or knowledge with:
• MDS
• Scrum
• XML and JSON datastructures
• Powershell
• C#
• Excellent English speaking and writing skills. Dutch would be a plus.
• Service- oriented working style with high customer focused mentality.
• You are intrinsically motivated, independent and goal-oriented with a desire to contribute to the advancement of the IT team in the Netherlands.
• You like to work within a team where you can add value to the success of projects and a more positive atmosphere to the team.
• The ability to work with people at all levels in the organization. You feel comfortable communicating with both business and with IT specialists.
