Business Information Security Officer New10
Information security is in the news almost daily. Unfortunately, more and more companies are hit by data breaches, ransomware attacks or fraud, for example. Cybersecurity stories such as those about the Lazarus Group in North Korea, the Pegasus tool of the NSO Group or the revelations surrounding Cambridge Analytica regularly surpass the fiction of James Bond films. In this job, you will work at the heart of these developments that touch all aspects of our lives, from politics to business and even our private environment. As part of the Corporate Information Security Office (CISO), you will help ABN AMRO formulate a response to the increasing cyber threat. You are the outpost within New10 who knows this business unit through and through, so your interventions on information security are precisely tailor-made. For New10, we are looking for a proactive and driven colleague to fulfill the role of Business Information Security Officer (BISO). New10 is a subsidiary of ABN AMRO. The culture reflects this with many young, eager, hands on people who are very motivated to drive the company to success. In this role, you will spend much time with your colleagues from New10, but also meet frequently with CISO and IT to continuously improve the security of our bank. As New10’s BISO, you have a pivotal role in security. This requires you to be able to act on both a strategic and operational level. On the one hand, you draw up a strategic annual plan in collaboration with CISO and coordinate it with the MT. On the other hand, you are the one who ensures that all the security solutions are actually implemented and used. After the implementation, you will track and evaluate to what extent the solutions have contributed to a safer (digital) bank, and you will share your experiences with BISOs from other business lines and entities. In this way, we can ensure that we continue to improve and keep attackers out. Your drive to make it increasingly safe for our customers to bank with us is crucial. Security is not just the responsibility of the security department, but a responsibility of all of us. What is essential in this role is that you know how to convey the importance of security to all your colleagues within New10. Because only together can we ensure that our customers can have a worry-free banking experience.
Concrete examples of your work are:
- Putting information security on the map for all colleagues within New10
- Draft, coordinate and execute an information security plan
- Interpret Security Dashboards, provide Feedback, prioritise Issues
- Advise on conducting security assessments
- Explain and apply CISO standards and policies within the context of New10
- Support and coordinate in the event of security incidents
- Initiate improvements to take information security to the next level
- Implement improvements following an (external) audit
The New10 office is located in Amsterdam. CISO's office in Amstelveen. Both locations are your work environment. Your formal place of employment is Amstelveen, but every week, you will spend some days at the New10 office near the Amsterdam Amstel station.. We work on the basis of a hybrid model. As a result, you can choose which locations or times you want to work at in consultation with your colleagues.
The colleagues you work with on a daily basis are part of New10. In addition, you are part of CISO, where almost 500 colleagues are behind you to feed you with the right information, products and services to take information security to the next level. You will be in contact with BISOs from other business units and will be part of a bank-wide security community.

- You are a strong personality with a keen interest in security. You are hands-on, persuasive and decisive. You get things done and you enjoy being the bridge between New10 and CISO. - You have knowledge of CISO services (and we are happy to help you develop this further)
- You preferably have studied IT or Information Security
- You preferably have experience with Office365, Azure (SSO), JAMF managed Mac-environment and Amazon Web Services (Serverless)
