Your working environment

The department Finance & Risk Business GRIDs (FRBG) delivers Finance and Risk services to its stakeholders i.e. Group Finance, Risk Management, Legal and Internal Audit. The Financial Risk (FR) Grid (200+ FTE) is part of the FRBG department and is responsible for the change and operational activities supporting the Basel Chain, IFRS9 Chain, associated Model implementation and Financial Restructuring and recovery-, Credit Risk- and Central Risk Management processes.

To maintain and improve regulatory compliance and to support strategic Finance and Risk ambitions it is instrumental that the change activities within the Financial Risk Grid are managed effectively and efficiently. The Value Proposition team is a key part of the Financial Risk Grid. As a member of the Value Proposition team, you are responsible for optimizing change implementations for the Financial Risk Grid. This is achieved through translating Finance and risk-related business- and regulatory requirements into concrete improvement proposals that can be executed by the different change teams.

Your work

As a Business Developer in the Value Proposition Team Financial Risk, you are responsible for one or more (regulatory) change implementation/improvement areas of the Financial risk grid. You are the first point of contact for the assigned topic from the Financial Risk Grid towards the rest of the organisation (Risk, Business units, IT), regarding required changes in business- and regulatory requirements. Your key responsibility is to assess the impact of such changes, prepare implementation solutions, and are closely involved in the implementation- and execution. These implementation solutions target the processes and applications supporting the IRB model implementation, Basel Chain, IFRS9 Chain, Stress Testing, and the associated calculators (models) for these areas. Your advice and deliveries directly affect the regulatory compliance, profitability, and capital position of the Bank.

IRB & IFRS9 model implementations are key parts of the topics within the FR Grid. These models form the basis for loan approval, pricing, performance management, and regulatory capital. As a member of the VPT, the overarching impact of model implementation needs to be embedded in the solution and execution responsibility. In preparing and aligning your advice you closely collaborate with stakeholders including Regulatory Experts, Finance, Risk Management, and Business units. The activity of the team relies on strong knowledge of the CRD/CRR/IFRS9 and other areas of related regulation, in particular from the perspective of implementing these changes. You contribute to realise the future Finance and Risk landscape so that we continuously improve the speed with which we can respond to requests from our Business stakeholders and Regulators. It is a widely defined role. Dependent on specific assignments, the scope of business advisory services provided by the team can vary between generic coordinating and in-depth specialisation. In addition, you support the Value Delivery Teams with solution designing of complex changes that cut across the value chain, working together with solution design and regulatory specialists in multiple fields in the value chain. You are the linking pin between design and implementation by guiding questions from implementing grids and programmes.

As a team, we rely on each other to deliver results. Where possible we stimulate this by working together on assignments in smaller groups which enables us to learn, inspire, and improve.
