Data Engineer - PowerBI

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our team. At the moment 18 professionals are working together from different expertise areas to create high quality data marts and reports.

We are looking for a data engineer with passion, overview and technical skills with a focus on Power BI. As a member of a DevOps team you are responsible for development but also daily operations. In a short period of time you are able to obtain extensive knowledge of our large and complex data models to be able to make the necessary future changes, support production or to support new requirements.

Within the team, you'll be involved in the implementation of Power BI reports in close contact with the stakeholders and data engineers, refine user stories, investigate data using SQL on Databricks, designing the data model, configuration and deployment to Azure Power BI service. It's definitely a plus if you have experience with all of these technologies, but also be eager to learn new skills.

Your ability and willingness to work with others is crucial for your success in this role. You are naturally someone who takes initiative, structures and organises work well and is keen to work with others to deliver tangible results. You are practical, have an analytical approach and good communication skills. You are a strong team player and you take responsibility for your work. In the dynamic environment in which you operate, you have the ability to get all stakeholders on board.

You will be working as a Data Engineer within the finance domain with a focus on reporting in a dynamic and energetic team of professionals who all are critical thinkers and share the same passion. You are up to date with the latest developments in data engineering and Power BI. The job requires excellent analytical skills and an eye for detail.

• You have an affinity with financial reporting
• Strong analytic skills, data analytics, (pre)processing, and data handling
• Certified PL-300 (must)
• Expertise Power BI and SQL (must)
• Experience in data modelling and Kimball methodology (must)
• Experience with data management, data governance and DQ
• Experience in Azure Databricks
• Experience in stakeholder management
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Boards, Git repositories, Pipelines
• Pro-active attitude and an excellent team player.
• You are at least AZ-900 certified or willing to pass within 3 month.

• The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
• The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
• Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
