International Card Services (ICS) is a 100% subsidiary of ABN AMRO Bank N.V. with its own bank license with DNB and AFM. ICS is a payment service provider and market leader in issuing credit cards in the Netherlands. We have been issuing, promoting, administrating and processing payments of Visa and Mastercard credit cards for over 30 years. ICS issues credit cards both under its own brand and in conjunction with co-branding partners, for both consumer and commercial clients. In addition, we offer various other financial services and products.

Your job

You will be a part of the management team of ICS Finance. For some of your tasks you have will regular contact with departments within ABN AMRO Group Finance. You are a member of the ICS ALCO.


You are responsible for:

  • People management for a team of 8 Finance professionals, leading by example, mentoring team members for skill enhancement and career growth and ensuring the team's capabilities meet the dynamic needs of the organization.
  • Initiating, prioritizing and implementing (regulatory) changes in our reporting environment together with the Finance and Risk value proposition team and ICS IT
  • Internal financial reports and credit risk reports
  • Monitoring and reporting of financial and non-financial KPIs
  • Financial statements and the Annual report
  • Drafting accounting memos and liaising with the internal and external accountant
  • Regulatory reports (e.g. Corep, Finrep) and DGS ISAE 3402 type II reporting
  • Liquidity and capital management
  • Developing and monitoring of the liquidity model and capital model
  • Preparing liquidity and capital guidance to ensure compliance
  • Preparing and submitting proposals to the Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO)
  • Preparing corporate tax returns
  • Risk type owner for Tax Risk and Liquidity Risk

Working environment

You work in the ICS Finance team which consists of around 35 Finance professionals. As Head of Reporting & Balance Sheet Management you are part of the MT Finance of ICS and you are reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. You are also included in the wider Leadership Team of ICS.

Your profile

  • Economics and/or Business administration at Master level or a similar post-graduate education
  • Register Accountant and/or Register Controller
  • 7-10 years of leadership experience (functional or hierarchical) within Finance-departments in the financial services industry
  • Proven expertise and relevant working experience in Internal and External Reporting & Balance Sheet Management
  • You have an independent view and can translate your insights into clear advice
  • You have strong communication skills and are able to build trust in a senior environment. Good stakeholder management.
  • Demonstrable ability to think critically, implementing efficient & robust processes and show advanced analytical skills
  • Present on the workplace, have good social skills and know how to work together with and within a team.
  • Well-developed organisational sensitivity and know how to move between the different layers in the organization
  • Strong focus on risk awareness & reduction, cost control and effective control frameworks
  • Understands the importance of being compliant with law and regulations
  • Preference for bi-lingual candidates (both English & Dutch)

We are offering

  • The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
  • The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
  • Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
  • Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
  • Possibility to work from home (in consultation with your team and depending on your position).
  • An annual public transport pass with free public transportation throughout the Netherlands.
