Your job

As a Senior Lean Consultant you will have end to end responsibility for (multiple) projects within the Sales & Operational Excellence Expertise. You will use project management skills to set up the right (DMAIC) structure and to create a schedule that ensures that deadlines are met. You base conclusions and results on data and look for connections and root causes in order to achieve truly impactful results. You are often responsible for projects from start to finish and liaise with all parties involved to ensure that the organisation is supported. Ultimately, you ensure the correct implementation of the change together with the business owner.

Your work includes the following:

  • Leading or participating projects with a responsibility for the execution of the project plan;
  • Work on varying projects: from smaller process optimizations to strategic projects in which the Lean capability is used for analyses and structure;
  • Advice senior management and answer to stakeholders and SteerCo;
  • Facilitate the development of project- and implementation plans;
  • Leading project team of (Lean) Consultants and business experts;
  • You share best practices and act as a sparring partner for colleagues within SE&I;
  • Organize and chair meetings between key project stakeholders to ensure continuous alignment and effective decision making;
  • Monitor progress against project timelines within the various dimensions of the project;
  • Track project risks and issues, dependencies on other programmes, business-as-usual activities and interdependencies between workstreams;
  • Reporting with project progress and risks for the client.

Working environment

You will be part of the Sales & Operational Excellence Expertise consisting of 40-50 Consultants. This team has a central role in the Strategy Execution & Implementation department within the COO organization. You will work from the head office in Amsterdam and, in addition, you will occasionally work from our different branches . With the introduction of hybrid working, there are possibilities to work partly from home.

Your profile

You’re a strong analytical thinker with a hands-on mentality, a drive to change and improve. As a proactive professional, you take an analytical, independent approach to your work. You have excellent communication skills, are goal-orientated and solution-led. As a result, you are able to optimally manage your stakeholders with a high level of responsibility.

In short:

  • University level education, Lean or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
  • 6-10+ years of relevant work experience. Lean consulting experience preferably in financial institutions;
  • Easily translate a holistic view in concrete actions;
  • Communicator who can act as a natural (informal) leader
  • Experience in stakeholder management, both on senior and lower levels;
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously;
  • Professional working proficiency in English and Dutch is a must.

We are offering

Making Strategy Work!

  • The gross monthly salary (max. Eur. 9.704) displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget. 40-hour work week is also possible. Salary scaling is based on knowledge, experience and the potential you bring.
  • The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
  • Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
  • Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
  • Possibility to work from home (in consultation with your team and depending on your position).
  • An annual public transport pass with free public transportation throughout the Netherlands.
  • An excellent pension scheme.
