At a glance

The Product Owner Private Cloud Platform at ABN AMRO Clearing (AACB) performs a full cross grids role. Together with his/her team,he/she has a clear mandate to create/maintain/mature the Private Cloud platform on Openshift. As a product owner you are one of the pivots that brings devops capabilities of the Openshift platform to the blocks and ensure their adoption. You closely aligning with the platform and product grid to include Private Cloud implementation into the Quarterly Business Review (QBR). The product owner is also the hierarchical manager of the platform engineers within the block/team. The team consists of around 5 people focusing on developing and ensuring implementation of Private Cloud platform on Openshift. The team works in an agile/scrum way. You, the Product Owner, sets the priorities for the sprints in consultation with stakeholders and the team.

As a Product Owner, you translate AACB’s Platform strategy into specific goals. You have a vision that takes innovations in your domain into consideration. When achieving your goals, you strike the right balance between strategy, objectives, business processes, and the client. You motivate others and give direction to employees and coaches to help them achieve results. You are also able to weigh up interests properly, as you can form a bigger picture of the organisation. Your profile

Results and Core Activities
• Be the Product Owner for the Private Cloud Platform
• Setting priorities of the backlog
• Manage and allocate backlog tasks to other members of the block
• Set policy, use, way of working and ensure methods of adoption around platform

Knowledge and Experience
• Experience in management (project & people) role
• Experience in the role of Product Owner
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Strong IT background
• Deep understanding of Infrastructure components
• Good understanding of Containerisation concepts
• Knowledge/Undertanding on Openshift is a plus

Communication – Key Stakeholders
• Strong interpersonal skills which are required to liaise with technical and business users across different regions
• Working with Enterprise Architecture to address design considerations
• Proactive communicator to foresee and address issues before they arise
• Proven ability to work well under pressure and to multiple deadlines, practical thinker.
• Flexible attitude to working hours, including travel / working different time zones and weekend working when applicable
• Strong written documentation skills
• Strong Management skills– experience of managing projects & people
