At a glance

As Head of Sales & Account Management you will take ownership of Strategic partnership development (with both Co-branding partners as well as the Card schemes) and Corporate sales & account management. You create a culture that embraces a sales mindset, whilst working towards profitable partnerships and sustainable growth within a highly-regulated environment. You will be part of the MT Sales & Marketing and report to the Chief Commercial Officer.

Your job

You will play a vital role in building a high-performing commercial team (10 fte), shaping the required knowledge and skills needed to develop (complex) partnerships as well as to accelerate sales towards the corporate segment. You will be responsible for:
• Building a steady pipeline of commercial opportunities with both existing and new partners and corporate customers
• Managing and developing our strategic partnerships with Visa and Mastercard, as well as our co-branding partners (e.g. ABN AMRO, ANWB and Volksbank)
• (Re)negotiating contracts to ensure profitable and sustainable partnerships in line with ICS’ objectives
• Growing our corporate card customer base through consultative selling of our commercial product suite
• Developing annual partnership and sales plans to deliver on the budgeted revenue, card base and volume growth
• Aligning the strategic partnership objectives with Marketing, Digital Channels, Product Management, Change Management, Operations etc.
• Facilitating strong collaboration with the second line parties, such as Risk, Compliance and Legal
• Fostering a Sales Mindset within the team along with implementing a (more) structured way of working
• Mentoring and developing team members, identifying opportunities for skill enhancement and career growth
• Staying up to date on developments in the payments landscape and actively sharing your knowledge within ICS

There is room for hybrid working, but for this job it is required to spend a substantial amount of time at the office or with our partners/customers. Your profile

We are looking for an experienced leader with a proven commercial track record in (card) payments within a bank or alike financial organization. Do you think you fit in with us? Check your profile:
• MSc degree in Business Administration, Economics or Marketing
• More than 15 years’ experience of inspiring and developing sales & account management teams
• A proven track record of strategic partnership management, including contract negotiations
• A thorough understanding of (card) payments, including the regulatory context
• Excellent communication skills (both in Dutch and English) to clearly present proposals and facilitate complex discussions amongst different audiences, including senior management
• Ability to lead and motivate teams, and cultivate a culture of Courage, Care, and Collaboration
• Demonstrated resilience and adaptability, steering the team through challenges by leading by example and fostering a Sales Mindset.
• Demonstrated risk awareness and decision-making capabilities
• Excellent in stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrated accountability and commitment towards achieving goals and resolving issues (with the ability to reflect on own performance and behavior)

We are offering

  • The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
  • The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
  • Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
  • Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
  • Possibility to work from home (in consultation with your team and depending on your position).
  • An annual public transport pass with free public transportation throughout the Netherlands.
  • An excellent pension scheme.
