Financing Solutions (FS) is the Credit Engine of ABN AMRO, providing clients from all client segments with the best suited credit solution. Financing Solutions cover all loans > EUR 1 mln and all CRE loans while for Program Lending, Financial Solutions will provide the back and/technology as well via the grid. FS offers its products across sectors via both standardized as well as customized solutions, depending on the client's needs and profile.
FS consists of 8 departments Lending Support, Convenience Lending, Expertise Lending, CRE & Shipping Lending, Specialised & Syndicated Lending, Corporate Investments, Product & Business Development and Lending Transformation. It is also responsible for the bank-wide Future Credit Domain (''FCD'') Program. This program is responsible for elevating credit risk management by delivering a future-proof, regulatory compliant IT and system landscape to support the credit risk lifecycle.
As Lead Regulatory Centre of Expertise, you help realise the delivery of the ABN AMRO and Financing Solutions strategy: a Personal Bank in a Digital Age. You report to Head of Product & Business Development and are responsible for approximately 9 colleagues. Your main responsibility is to ensure a long-term oversight and pro-active advice on upcoming policy and pending regulation and impact thereof. You define regulatory objectives based on the policy framework, enables a sound control framework and partners with the 2nd line to deliver policies aligned to our bank wide strategic ambitions for the credit product.
In your role as Lead Regulatory Centre of Expertise within Product & Business Development you are responsible for:
- 1st Line Policy adherence, ensure consistent policy framework that aligns with FS / FCD aspirations, strategy and risk appetite and provide advice accordingly and manage policy standards under 1st line ownership
- Oversight of long-term pending regulation and proper interpretation of regulatory requirements
- Analysis of business impact following upcoming regulations, impact DPOT setting, strategy, risk appetite and RWA
- Providing advice on regulatory interpretation from an implementation perspective and support to regulatory programmes
- Continuous monitoring of existing implemented regulation in the context of latest interpretation and/or supervisory expectations
- Informing MT FS (and where relevant other stakeholders) on upcoming regulatory impact and preparing Head FS for regulatory committee
- Regular interaction with external parties to stay informed on regulatory developments and their impact as well as benchmarking implementation practice with outside in views
- GPAC preparation and secretariat

General
- Academic education level
- Understanding of credit risk and regulation
- A least ten years relevant lending experience, understanding and experience of credit risk and regulation
- A least ten years relevant lending experience
- At least five years managerial experience

- In-depth knowledge of a broad range of lending products and general knowledge of other banking products and services (being able to make the connection)
- In-depth experience and understanding of credit risk and regulation
- Knowledge of change management

- The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
- The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
- Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
